The fourth unit of the first volume of the compulsory Chinese textbook for senior high school,《Cultural Life In Hometown》,is a comprehensive activity unit,which is composed of the learning task group of "contemporary cultural participation" and the humanistic theme of "our home".Through a series of participatory,experiential and exploratory Chinese learning activities,students are guided to carry out open Chinese learning.It plays an important role in enhancing the comprehensiveness,activity and practicality of Chinese learning and improving students’ core quality of Chinese subject.However,in reality,as a new class type in the new textbook,the unit of "Cultural Life In Hometown" actually challenges both teachers’ "teaching" and students’ "learning".Project-based learning was introduced from abroad.In recent years,with the continuous advancement of curriculum reform,the Chinese education community has paid more and more attention to project-based learning.Project-based learning and the "Cultural Life In Hometown" unit have many characteristics in common.Applying project-based learning to the "Cultural Life In Hometown" unit teaching can provide new perspectives and ideas for this unit teaching and effectively improve teaching quality and efficiency.This thesis takes the project-based learning design of the high school Chinese "Cultural Life In Hometown" unit as the research object,and comprehensively uses the research methods of literature research,questionnaire survey,and action research.First of all,from a practical point of view,through the questionnaire survey,the author understands the current situation of teachers’ teaching and students’ learning in the " Cultural Life In Hometown " unit,and analyze the problems in the implementation of this unit.Then,in view of the actual problems in this unit,the projectbased learning model is introduced to analyze the advantages and significance of adopting projectbased learning in the "Cultural Life In Hometown" unit.Next,according to the problems founded in the survey,the strategies of project-based learning design in the "Cultural Life In Hometown" unit are proposed.Finally,according to the above strategies and combined with the actual situation,the author carried out the practice of project-based learning design in the "Cultural Life In Hometown" unit.Through case planning and design,case implementation and application,case reflection and summary,the author verified the effect of project-based learning applied in the "Cultural Life In Hometown" unit,and put forward suggestions for improvement.Through the teaching practice in the real situation,this thesis believes that carrying out a series of activities in the "Cultural Life In Hometown" unit in the way of project-based learning can provide new perspectives and ideas for the unit teaching,change the teaching methods of teachers and the learning methods of students,promote the comprehensive development of students’ core literacy in Chinese subject,and effectively improve the teaching quality and efficiency.
