In 2014,the State Council officially promulgated the "Implementation Opinions of the State Council on Deepening the Reform of Examination and Enrollment System",and a new round of college entrance examination reform officially began.Chongqing,as the third batch of a comprehensive reform of college entrance examination,issued and announced the "Comprehensive Reform Program of Chongqing General College Examination and Enrollment" in 2018,which kicked off the new college entrance examination reform in Chongqing.In order to adapt to the "3+1+2" model of the new college entrance examination reform,the new direction of teaching reform is made by non-graded instruction.After the new college entrance examination reform,the subject of ideology and politics has changed from a compulsory subject in arts to a re-elected subject.The gap between Chongqing as the third batch of comprehensive reform pilot of college entrance examination and coastal cities is large.Mainly because of the short time to implement the class walking system,software and hardware facilities.In order to promote the educational reform in the western region,to meet the development needs of students,to provide theoretical and practical references for schools with similar implementation conditions,to promote the development and innovation of the subject of ideology and politics,and to enrich and develop the theories related to the non-graded instruction in China.This paper gets insight into the development of the subject of ideology and politics in Chongqing.This paper takes WZ Senior High School in Chongqing as the research object and conducts a study on the non-graded instruction teaching reform of the ideology and politics class,which mainly includes the following aspects.First,the background and significance of the topic are explained by reviewing relevant information,then critically combing domestic and international literature to clarify the research ideas and research methods,and eventually clarifying the important and difficult points of the research as well as the innovation and shortcomings of the research.Moreover,the concepts of non-graded instruction in high school ideology and politics are explained.After clarifying its meaning,types and characteristics,the theoretical basis is discussed in terms of both Chinese and foreign educational thoughts and theories.This paper also discusses its practical basis in terms of cultivating the core literacy of subjects,implementing the fundamental task of establishing moral education,responding to the needs of the new college entrance examination reform,and meeting students’ individual development.After identifying the purpose,target and method of investigation,this paper analyze the current situation of non-graded instruction of ideology and politics in WZ Senior High School in Chongqing,and summarize the main practices of non-graded instruction of ideology and politics.Meanwhile,it is clear that non-graded instruction meets the needs of students’ personalized subject selection and promotes comprehensive and individual development,effectively enhances students’ interaction ability and interpersonal awareness,and highlights students’ subject status.In parallel,non-graded instruction promotes the development of teachers’ education and teaching level capacity and the effective improvement of teaching and research level of the school’s ideology and politics teaching team.Furthermore,this paper combines literature and survey data to effectively analyze the problems of non-graded instruction in the process of teaching ideology and politics in WZ Senior High School in Chongqing,including the school’s fixed supporting subjects,infrastructure,and student mobility management,teachers’ teaching concepts and approaches,the number of teachers and tasks,the ideology and politics course evaluation system,and the setting of tiered teaching objectives,students’ awareness of non-graded instruction in the teaching of ideology and politics,students’ perception of the value of ideology and politics classes,and students’ self-management.Finally,this thesis proposes optimization strategies for the problems in non-graded instruction of teaching process of ideology and politics in WZ Senior High School in Chongqing.Mainly include: optimizing the class type of ideology and politics at the school level,improving the hardware facilities of the non-graded instruction,and strengthening the management of teachers and students in the class.At the teacher level,the proportion of full-time ideology and politics teachers is increased and a teaching and research community is created;traditional teaching concepts are changed and mechanisms are improved to stimulate motivation;a scientific and diversified system is established and sustainable evaluation is implemented.At the student level,we will change traditional concepts and get rid of misconceptions;gain a deeper understanding of ideology and politics classes and correctly understand the value of the curriculum;change our learning style and strengthen self-management.
