As an important strategic planning of the country,the government and society give great support to the poor groups,including the policy of poverty alleviation and relocation.The implementation of this policy plays a pivotal role in improving the production and life style of poor areas.However,the primary problem in the implementation of this policy is the social adaptation of the relocated groups,especially the elderly.If the social adaptation barriers of the relocated groups are not solved,the policy effect of the relocation will be affected,and the progress of poverty alleviation will be slowed down,which is not conducive to social harmony and affects the pace of rural revitalization.In this paper,through two surveys in Nujiang Prefecture for three months,the elderly relocated in Bifu Community in Fugong County are selected as the research object to study the social adaptation of the elderly relocated here.Based on social adaptation theory and social support theory,this paper adopts group work method to carry out research on the social adaptation of the elderly relocated for poverty alleviation in inhospitable areas,hoping to explore a reasonable path to promote the elderly relocated for poverty alleviation in inhospitable areas to better and faster adapt to the new environment and new life in the specific practical operation process.First of all,questionnaire survey was used to investigate the social adaptation status of 100 elderly people over 60 years old who were relocated from inhospitable areas in Bifu Community.Through comparative analysis of survey data,the social adaptation dilemma they faced was understood.It is found that there are four aspects of maladaptation in production,life,psychological adaptation and interpersonal communication.Secondly,the influencing factors of the maladaptive status of the research object are analyzed.The reasons for the maladaptive problems of the relocated elderly are as follows: on the one hand,the individual level of the elderly,including age,physical health,economic status,etc.;Secondly,the family level,whether the family provides intergenerational support to the elderly;The last aspect is the social aspect.The content of community activities is monotonous,and the government pays little attention to the elderly relocated from inhospitable areas.And then evaluate the change of move the old society to adapt to the demand for poverty alleviation and,guided by the theory of social support design to carry out the change of poverty alleviation to move the elderly group work,social adaptation by 5 times the group activities to help team members to achieve individual level,interpersonal level,social participation,empowerment,help team members to rediscover the community sense of belonging,regain confidence in the future life,Enrich the old age life,improve the social adaptability and level of group members to face the new environment and new life.Finally,the service effectiveness of group activities is evaluated through process evaluation and outcome evaluation,and research conclusions and professional reflection are put forward.Combined with the current situation of adaptation of the elderly in Bifu community and group practice,this paper proposes to help the elderly to adapt to the new life and new environment after relocation from the four aspects of individual,family,community and society.
