The implementation of the relocation policy for poverty alleviation and relocation of a large number of rural poor people from areas with harsh geographic environments and frequent geological disasters to settlement communities with convenient transportation,suitable for survival and production is a key measure for my country to achieve poverty alleviation and prosperity.This article takes the relocated elderly from the W resettlement community in Guizhou Province as the research object,and uses the research methods such as questionnaire survey and interview methods to explore the social adaptation of the relocated elderly in poverty alleviation.Based on 105 survey data,this paper uses the statistical software SPSS 22.0 for factor analysis,and divides the status quo of social adaptation into four dimensions and ranks them according to scores,which are life adaptation,psychological adaptation,communication adaptation and cultural adaptation.Based on the interview data,the problems of social adaptation for the elderly in ex-situ poverty alleviation and relocation are summarized: poor happiness,insufficient participation,and weak sense of belonging.Among them,the weak sense of happiness reflects the poor adaptability of the relocated elderly,the lack of participation is a manifestation of poor social and cultural adaptation,and a weak sense of belonging indicates that the psychological adjustment is uncomfortable.This article further analyzes the causes of the social adaptation problems of the relocated elderly from three levels of individual,family and community.Effectively improve the social adaptation status of the relocated elderly by carrying out social work practices.Case service enhances the living adaptation of the relocated elderly and enhances their individual life well-being;group activities effectively mobilize the relocated elderly's awareness of social interaction,expand the social support network,increase the sense of participation,and improve the social adaptation and cultural adaptation;build the elderly association as the core,The “1+N”model,branched by the elderly interest team and the elderly volunteer service team,enhances psychological adaptation,effectively meets the spiritual and cultural needs of the relocated elderly,gives full play to the social value of the relocated elderly,and strengthens group cohesion and a sense of belonging to the resettlement community.
