Childhood is a critical period for a person to form and develop the ability of emotion management.Improving the ability of emotion management is very important for the overall healthy growth of an individual.With the acceleration of social development and change,contemporary children in daily life is extremely easy to be affected by family education,learning pressure and many other factors,they tend to appear irritable,irritability,anxiety,low self-esteem and other bad emotions,their emotional problems gradually show diversity and complexity.Children are still in the immature stage of physical and mental development,and their cognitive level of emotional management and coping skills are relatively limited.If we do not attach importance to and guide their emotional management ability,it will profoundly affect the healthy development of children,and even have an important impact on their family,society and other aspects.In this study,questionnaire,interview and observation methods were adopted to investigate the current situation of emotion management of children in D Primary School in Foshan City.It was found that the fourth grade students in D primary school had prominent problems in emotion management,which were mainly manifested in the following aspects: Lack of emotional cognition,there is a certain cognitive bias;Limited ability to detect and discriminate,and weak ability to understand emotions;Obvious emotional expression,difficult to express emotions properly;Poor emotional regulation ability,lack of emotional management strategies.Based on previous research,this study selected 12 fourth-grade primary school students with prominent emotion management problems as research objects.Under the guidance of social learning theory,group work methods were used to intervene in four aspects of their emotional cognitive ability,emotional understanding ability,emotional expression ability and emotional regulation ability.In order to further improve the emotional management ability of the service object.This emotion management group has carried out six group activities.Through this group,the clients’ emotional cognition level has been improved,their understanding of emotions has been deeper,their emotional expression ability has been enhanced,they have mastered more effective emotional regulation skills,their emotional management ability has been improved overall,and the service effect is obvious.The evaluation of this study shows that group work has great advantages in improving children’s emotional management ability,and this group can provide some experience for the follow-up relevant practical research.At the same time,there are also some shortcomings in the service process that need to be reflected and improved.
