With China’s booming economy and social transformation, the migrant population is showing a rapid growth trend, and the scale of family-based migration is increasing. With the mobility of life, the changing social environment, and the existence of potential risks, migrant children face a variety of diverse dilemmas and challenges. From the perspective of social work, this study explores how to enhance the resilience of migrant children, help them discover their potential and strengths, improve their self-awareness and self-confidence,cultivate social skills and the ability to overcome difficulties, and thus promote the overall physical and mental development of migrant children, based on the resilience theory and group work method. This study selected the H community in Changzhou City as the research site and recruited group members here to conduct a practical study on the resilience cultivation of migrant children in an attempt to explore effective ways to enhance the resilience of migrant children.Firstly, the literature method and questionnaire survey were used to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the current situation of mobile children and their influencing factors. Then, the actual problems and needs of mobile children were considered when developing the group program, and the group concept and techniques were applied to the intervention. The unstructured interview method and participant observation method were then used to obtain an understanding of the changes in the resilience situation of the group members. Then a comparison of the group before and after the intervention was made using relevant scales. Finally, the effectiveness of the group intervention was evaluated through group members’ participation, process performance, feedback evaluation, behavioral changes before and after, and the group worker’s self-assessment,and reflections on the shortcomings of the practical work. Finally, the effectiveness of the group intervention was evaluated through the participation of group members, process performance, evaluation comments, behavioral changes before and after, and the self-assessment of social workers, and the shortcomings of the actual work were reflected and summarized.Based on the actual intervention effects and problems of the resilience cultivation group, the author puts forward some suggestions, aiming to promote the improvement of resilience of mobile children and the intervention in social work practice,as well as to provide useful reference and experience accumulation for future research in related fields.
