The migration of population continues to increase,so does the number of children leaving their hometown and migrating with their parents. The mental health problems of migrant children are prominent.Resilience is a developmental ability that promotes the mental health of migrant children. How to improve and strengthen the resilience of migrant children has attracted the attention of researchers.Under the guidance of Ecosystem Theory and Resilience Theory, this study adds the important element of family to the design of resilience intervention services.A family-based group systematic intervention to the target population was carried out and evaluated with the use of a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods. This study was designed :(1)to examine the effectiveness of family-based social work groups in improving the resilience of migrant children;and(2)to explore the possible process mechanism of family-oriented social work group to improve the resilience of migrant children, with reference to previous research and the evaluative results. The research results show that:(1)family-based social work groups can significantly improve the overall resilience level of migrant children, and there are significant differences in the mean values of pre-and post-test data;(2)The mean scores of interpersonal assistance and family support were significantly different in the mean values of pre-and post-test data; The mean scores of positive cognition, goal focus and emotional control were not significantly different;(3)The family-based group work intervention can significantly improve the self-esteem and general self-efficacy level of migrant children, that there is a significant difference between mean pre-and post-test data. The study found that family-based social work group is a systematic intervention that combines individual and family. In this intervention model, social work group therapy factors such as parent-child "breathing" time,multi-level mutual aid mechanisms, general experience, interpersonal learning, multiple perspectives, and parent-child growth platforms act on the resilience of migrant children with a process mechanism combining multiple paths.
