Problems are the starting point of thinking and the fundamental reason for learning.The "problem based teaching method" is a teaching method in which teachers create problem situations based on teaching objectives and guide students to think and solve problems in the context during the learning process.The teaching of argumentative writing in high school plays an extremely important role in high school Chinese language teaching and has attracted the attention of many researchers.However,in high school,students’level of argumentative writing is poor,and the teaching quality of teachers is not ideal.To solve this problem,this article is based on reality and conducts research on the application of the"problem based teaching method" to the teaching of high school argumentative writing.In the specific research,questionnaire and interview methods were used to clarify the current situation of high school argumentative writing teaching.It was summarized that students have low interest in argumentative writing,lack scientific argumentative writing methods,lack efficient writing material collection methods,and the exemplary nature of teacher teaching behavior needs to be strengthened.The innovation of teacher teaching methods needs to be strengthened.An attempt is made to apply the "problem based teaching method" to the teaching of argumentative writing in high school to address these issues.This application includes three basic steps:problem presentation,cause analysis,and problem solving,as well as six teaching strategies:enhancing students’ interest in argumentative writing at a hierarchical level,changing students’ writing methods based on different subjects,enriching students’ collection of argumentative materials based on different methods,cultivating students’ ability to review argumentative questions step by step,enhancing teachers’ exemplary teaching behavior in sequence,and promoting innovative teaching methods in stages.In order to test the effectiveness of this application,this article takes the internship location N Middle School in Y City as the practice venue and conducts teaching practice using three teaching cases as carriers.Subsequently,the effectiveness of this application was confirmed through the analysis of students’ ability to review and formulate ideas,structure arrangement,material selection,and overall performance improvement.Then reflect on the teaching practice and summarize the improvement measures as follows:improving the effectiveness of student discussions,increasing the writing process in the classroom,and conducting more student essay communication activities.Finally,the teaching strategies mentioned in the paper will be reflected in the teaching design for reference.
