| In July 2021,the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Further Reducing the Homework Burden and Off campus Training Burden of Students in Compulsory Education",which proposed the requirement of "comprehensively reducing the total amount and duration of homework,and reducing students’ excessive homework burden".At the same time,strict requirements were made in terms of homework quantity,homework quality,homework guidance,homework correction,and other aspects.The "double reduction" policy has been implemented for nearly two years.It is necessary to track and study whether the management of extracurricular homework in primary schools is scientific and reasonable,whether homework has achieved the function of comprehensive education,what are the remaining problems,how to solve these problems,and whether there are corresponding optimization strategies.Compared to lower grades,higher grades in primary school have a relatively large amount of homework tasks,and have relatively high requirements for homework management.There are relatively many problems in extracurricular homework management.Studying the homework management issues of higher grade students in primary school is undoubtedly an important research topic in the "double reduction" process of homework management.This study takes X Primary School in Yinchuan City as a case study to study the application concept,basic status,existing problems and reasons,optimization strategies,and other issues in the management of extracurricular homework in senior primary schools under the background of"double reduction".It has been found that there are problems in the current management of extracurricular homework in senior primary schools,such as incomplete understanding of homework functions by teachers and students,increased burden on students due to a large amount of homework,lack of creativity in homework content,oversimplification of homework types,and simplification of homework evaluation and feedback.The reasons for the existence of problems at the school level include:the lack of effective homework management mechanisms in schools,the lack of targeted homework management training in schools,and the imperfect evaluation mechanism for teachers and students in schools;At the teacher level,there are:teachers have insufficient understanding of homework functions,teachers’ professional literacy needs to be improved,and teachers’ work tasks are heavy;At the student level,there are:students’ understanding of homework needs to be improved,their initiative to complete homework needs to be mobilized,and students lack a certain level of self-control ability;At the parent level,there are:parents’ awareness of homework management needs to be changed,parents’ anxiety needs to be alleviated,and communication between parents and the school needs to be improved.Based on the above understanding,this study proposes specific optimization strategies:including establishing a sound homework management system to protect teachers and students;All parties work together to ensure that homework plays a comprehensive educational role;Reasonably control the workload and ensure the implementation of policies;Improve homework design ability and cultivate students’ higher-order thinking;Diversified methods of homework evaluation and feedback. |
