The excessive academic burden of students in compulsory education has been a hot topic of social concern and discussion in recent years.Homework is a part of teaching,which is an effective expansion and extension of teaching.It is a complete living body with teaching.But in the actual operation status quo,there are many unreasonable places.This study is mainly based on the "double reduction" policy,taking a rural primary school and an urban primary school in R County,Guangxi as the case study,aiming at understanding the current situation of homework of senior primary school students under the background of "double reduction" policy,exploring the problems existing in homework of senior primary school students under the background of "double reduction" policy,and analyzing the causes of homework problems.Therefore,corresponding targeted strategies are proposed.This paper uses content analysis,questionnaire survey and interview method to study the current situation and problems of homework.In the aspect of content analysis,the homework books of the fourth,fifth and sixth grades of urban primary schools and rural primary schools were collected respectively,and the amount,content and type of homework were analyzed.The subjects of the questionnaire included teachers and students.In the questionnaire,teachers mainly conducted in-depth investigations from five aspects: homework type,hierarchical design of homework,homework quantity,homework correction and feedback,and school’s control and policy on homework.The student questionnaire investigated the status quo from six aspects: students’ feelings on the "double reduction" policy,homework quantity,homework difficulty,homework type,homework hierarchical design and teachers’ evaluation and feedback on homework.In terms of interviews,I exchanged and interviewed several teachers of the two schools respectively,and took advantage of the opportunity of distributing questionnaires in the class to randomly select several students for interviews,so as to have a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the current situation of homework in primary schools.The survey found that the overall characteristics of homework in rural schools and urban schools are: the amount of homework meets the requirements of the double reduction policy.However,the content and form of the work are still simple and repetitive,and the type of work is simple and lack of interest.The hierarchical design of the job is not obvious;There are some differences in homework between urban primary schools and rural primary schools,which are as follows: the implementation of the "double reduction" policy in rural schools is less vigorous;Urban teachers give less feedback on students’ work;Urban students have higher homework pressure and lower enthusiasm for homework.In order to further improve the management level of homework in senior primary schools,the author puts forward relevant optimization countermeasures from the four aspects of school,teachers,students and parents: education departments to accelerate the construction of the platform,do a good job of homework quality monitoring;Strengthen teacher homework training guidance,make homework content more interesting.Teachers themselves should strengthen the sense of innovation,design practical homework,and enhance the interest of homework content;Improve job design ability,design hierarchical job,enrich job types.Rural schools should develop a perfect homework system and strengthen homework norms;De-administration to reduce the "non-teaching" pressure of frontline teachers.Guide urban parents to set up a correct view of homework.Help students to enhance their sense of self-identity and develop good homework habits;Guide students to learn self-management,strengthen the awareness of homework initiative.
