In recent years, global ecological problems have become increasingly serious.Against the background of promoting the construction of ecological civilization in China,it is imperative to carry out ecological civilization education. However, there are still problems with the ecological civilization education system in China, such as its incompleteness and insufficient attention. The integration of ecological civilization education into high school biology teaching is an important path to improve students’ ecological civilization literacy and implement the core competencies of high school biology. At the same time, rich ecological civilization knowledge is contained in high school biology textbooks, which teachers can incorporate into their teaching. Therefore, how to effectively integrate ecological civilization education into high school biology teaching is a problem that biology teachers and educators urgently need to solve.Based on the above situation, this article explores the infiltration of ecological civilization education in high school biology teaching.Firstly, based on a comprehensive interpretation of the "General High School Biology Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition,Revised in 2020)",the internal connection between high school biology teaching and ecological civilization education is sorted out,and the teaching contents of ecological civilization education that can be infiltrated in the2019 People’s Education Press high school biology textbook are excavated and organized.Through statistical analysis, the following characteristics are found: 1)There are 46 ecological civilization education infiltration points in the high school biology textbook, among which "Biology and Environment" is the most closely related to ecological civilization;2)Ecological civilization knowledge is mostly directly presented in the main text;3)There is less content guiding students to produce ecological civilization behavior.Secondly,a survey questionnaire on ecological civilization literacy for high school students was designed by the system and its reliability and validity were tested. The questionnaire survey was conducted to understand the current situation of ecological civilization literacy and ecological civilization education among high school students in Huanggang City. The survey results showed that there was a large gap in the ecological civilization awareness, knowledge, and behavioral levels among some high school students, and some teachers and schools did not attach enough importance to ecological civilization education. It was also pointed out that the teacher’s classroom teaching was one of the main channels for students to acquire ecological civilization knowledge.Thirdly, ecological civilization education was carried out based on the principles and processes of penetration, and teaching practices were completed, including cases such as "Biodiversity and its Protection" and "Investigation and Specimen Preparation of Campus Herbaceous Plants Diversity".Subsequently, the teaching effectiveness was evaluated using teacher interviews, student interviews, and pre-and post-test data, which showed that the infiltration of ecological civilization education in high school biology teaching has a certain practical effect.Fourthly, the following suggestions are proposed in response to the problems identified in the research process: 1.Incorporate biological knowledge into classroom teaching.2.Carry out practical activities to enhance emotional experiences.3.Strengthen the teaching force of ecological civilization and create an ecological civilization campus atmosphere.4.Enhance family and community education, and jointly build a green and healthy lifestyle.
