The COVID-19 epidemic,as a prominent manifestation of the ecological crisis in 2020,calls for the ecological awakening of the human beings.Youth ecological civilization education is an inevitable action against the ecological crisis facing the world in the era of globalization.General Secretary Xi Jinping and Minister of Education Chen Baosheng attached great importance to ecological civilization education.Ecological civilization education in junior middle school biology courses,is one of the objectives of the Compulsory Education Biology Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)and the General High School Biology Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition)and it is one of the ways to practice moral education and the inherent requirement of individual's all-round development,which is conducive to building a beautiful China and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.The education of ecological civilization in Chongqing has been in the forefront of the whole country,but the present situation of the implementation of ecological civilization education and the effect of education are not clear,the author investigates the present situation of ecological civilization education in the whole city,compares the ecological civilization literacy of students in different regions,schools,grades,classes and family environment,analyzes its existing problems,and puts forward some targeted solutions.This paper mainly uses the literature research method,the investigation research method,the data statistics analysis method.This paper expounds the concepts of ecological civilization,ecological civilization construction,ecological civilization education,ecological civilization literacy,analyzes the purpose and significance of ecological civilization education for junior middle school students.Designed the "Questionnaire on Ecological Civilization Literacy and Ecological Civilization Education Status of Junior Middle School Students",taking 1,462 junior middle school students distributed in 13 schools in 4 districts of Chongqing as the survey object,this paper investigates and analyzes three dimensions: the level of ecological civilization literacy of junior middle school students,the present situation of ecological civilization education in junior middle school schools,the thinking and suggestion of junior middle school students to carry out ecological civilization education.At the same time,some of the first-line junior middle school biology teachers in Chongqing were interviewed in the above three dimensions.Finally,based on the results of the investigation,referring to the relevant literature,combining with the actual situation of teaching,from school,teacher,teaching aspects,put forward the suggestion of ecological civilization education in biology teaching in junior middle school.Results are as the followings:(1)The level of ecological civilization literacyThe teachers interviewed have different levels of ecological civilization literacy,and they think the students' ecological civilization literacy is medium or poor.According to the questionnaire survey of students in the whole city,the level of ecological civilization literacy of junior middle school students is generally good,among which the level of ecological civilization consciousness is the highest,and the level of ecological civilization knowledge and ecological civilization behavior is the second.However,the level of ecological civilization literacy of students in various regions,schools at all levels,grades and various family environments is uneven and different,and there is still a great room for improvement.The more schools attach importance to ecological civilization education,the better areas of economic development,the more sufficient time and conditions to carry out ecological civilization education,the better the family environment,the more key classes,the higher the tendency to carry out ecological civilization education,the better the ecological civilization literacy of junior middle school students.(2)The present situation of ecological civilization educationThe effect of carrying out ecological civilization education in junior middle schools in Chongqing has achieved results,but the situation of carrying out ecological civilization education in schools at all levels is mixed.The situation of ecological civilization education in directly affiliated middle schools in the former city is better than that in other middle schools.The most common way to carry out ecological civilization education in junior middle schools in Chongqing is mentioned in the teaching process of biology teachers,followed by environmental protection seminars,watching environmental protection videos,exhibitions and posters,and again,the school has a special schoolbased ecology Civilization education courses,but few extracurricular practical activities.(3)The suggestions on ecological civilization educationComprehensive investigation results,consults the relevant literature and teaching actual situation,from the school,the teacher,the teaching level,proposed the suggestion of ecological civilization education:(1)Schools at all levels strengthen communication and learning,let green schools flourish,and encourage students to build green families.(2)Improve teachers' ecological civilization literacy from different ways.(3)Improve the students' tendency towards ecological civilization education effectively.(4)Carry out school-based practical courses and STEAM educational activities.
