High school is a critical period for thinking development.Developing students’ thinking quality and improving their thinking ability is a topic worthy of in-depth exploration by educational researchers.The concept of "Chinese Core Literacy" was officially proposed in the "General High School Chinese Curriculum Standards(Experiments)" released by the Ministry of Education in 2014.The establishment of one of the Chinese core qualities,"Thinking Development and Improvement",has established the important position of thinking cultivation in Chinese teaching.The "General High School Chinese Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)" launched by the Ministry of Education in 2017 proposed the concept of learning task groups,and "whole book reading and discussion" was placed in an important position as the first learning task group.The whole book reading teaching can not only expand students’ reading horizons and develop their language skills,but also optimize their thinking quality.However,how to improve students’ thinking ability in the whole book reading teaching is a serious issue that educational researchers need to face.This article attempts to design teaching activities for reading the entire book "A Dream of Red Mansions" based on the current teaching situation,the requirements of the new curriculum standards,and the six learning tasks specified in the departmental version of the textbook.The purpose is to optimize students’ thinking quality and implement the core accomplishment of "Thinking Development and Improvement".This article is divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly elaborates the main situation of the topic selection from the aspects of research origin,research significance,and research methods.It analyzes the research process of educational scholars on the reading teaching of the entire book "A Dream of Red Mansions",and expounds the reasons for the topic selection based on the problems.The second part conducts an investigation and research from both the teacher and student dimensions.Through the questionnaire,we can understand the teachers’ cognition of thinking cultivation and the students’ thinking development,and summarize and attribute the problems.The third part is the focus of this article,combining the analysis of the first two parts,and designing activities for the "implementation of student self reading" and "deepening communication and discussion" stages of the entire book reading teaching of "A Dream of Red Mansions",Four strategies for thinking cultivation are proposed: "Draw a mind map to ensure divergent thinking","Encourage individual interpretation to ensure developmental thinking","Use classroom questioning to ensure profound thinking",and "Carry out comparative reading to ensure dialectical thinking".The fourth part selects classes to implement teaching to test the effectiveness of the design,hoping to provide reference for front-line teachers.The innovation of this article lies in the instructional design of reading the entire book "A Dream of Red Mansions" from the perspective of thinking development and improvement,and the rationality and effectiveness of the design is tested through teaching implementation.Although there are still flaws in this article,I still hope to contribute to the development of students’ thinking and the teaching and research of reading the entire book "A Dream of Red Mansions". |
