"Standard of ordinary senior high school Chinese curriculum(2017 edition)"(hereinafter referred to as "senior high school Chinese curriculum standard(2017 edition)")integrates the whole book reading into the compulsory and elective course system in the way of "whole book reading and discussion" task group,which changes the situation of single reading teaching.This is not only the return of traditional Chinese learning,but also a comprehensive change in Chinese education.This research takes the whole book reading teaching of "a dream of red mansions" as the object to explore the transformation of Chinese reading teaching from reading a single excerpt to "reading the whole book".Through constructing the whole book reading teaching design model,analysis of the whole book reading teaching the basic elements of a dream of red mansions,given up feeling characteristics analysis,curriculum and teaching material analysis,teaching aim,teaching content selection,teaching process arrangement,the teaching activity design,etc.,to design the book a dream of red mansions reading teaching,to provide reference for first-line teaching instructional design paradigm.This study is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly expounds the significance of the research,reviews the current situation of the reading teaching of the whole book and the reading teaching of the dream of the red chamber in middle schools,and introduces the research methods and ideas.The second part is to explore the reading value and teaching significance of the whole book "dream of the red chamber" in high school,respectively from the perspective of literary value,ideological value,cultural value,aesthetic value and improving students’ Chinese core quality.The third part is the analysis of the teaching status.In order to understand the real situation of front-line teaching and analyze the causes,a questionnaire on the reading of the whole book "dream of the red chamber" was carried out among teachers and students in high schools.The fourth part is the model construction and the teaching element analysis.Based on the analysis of teaching objectives,the determination of teaching contents,the selection of teaching strategies and the evaluation of teaching design results,the model of teaching design for the whole book is constructed.This paper analyzes the teaching elements of the whole book from the analysis of the characteristics of learning situation,the analysis of textbook standards,the determination of teaching objectives,the selection of teaching contents,the arrangement of teaching process and the design of teaching activities.The fifth part is the complete flow of instructional design.Starting from the basic elements of teaching,this paper carries out the teaching design of the whole book "a dream of red mansions".The content of the instructional design mainly focuses on the story content,characters,narrative art,theme andlanguage art of a dream of red mansions.Finally,the teaching design of reflection,in order to improve.The shortcomings of the study are that due to the author’s ability and the limited length of the paper,there are still a lot of problems worth studying on the reading teaching design of the whole book "a dream of red mansions",and no further in-depth study has been made.And did not put this teaching design into practice,some regrets,to be in the future in the actual teaching,continue to talk about reflection and summary,really can provide practical help for the first-line teaching.
