Scientists’ spirit is a valuable spiritual treasure of the Chinese nation and an advanced culture with Chinese characteristics.General Secretary Xi Jinping once emphasized at a symposium for scientists that "the guidance and cultivation of scientific interests should start from children,and form a large group of young people with the potential of scientists".The development of the country cannot be achieved without the help of talents,and high school is an important stage of talent cultivation.An atmosphere of cultivating scientist spirit should be formed on high school campuses to help high school students learn scientist spirit.The integration of scientist spirit into the teaching of high school ideology and politics is conducive to cultivating patriotism among high school students,enhancing the effect of educating people in Civics,deepening the core socialist values,and nurturing future young talents in science and technology.In addition,the scientist spirit is compatible with the educational objectives,teaching objectives,and teaching contents of high school ideology and politics classes.Through the actual investigation,it is found that the integration of scientist’s spirit into the teaching of high school ideology and politics class has achieved certain achievements,but there are also some problems.The main achievements are:high school students are more aware of scientists’ deeds,teachers have made a start in teaching and research on scientists’spirit,and schools have attached importance to cultivating scientists’ spirit.The problems are:high school students’ lack of awareness of scientist spirit,teachers’ poor teaching of scientist spirit,and schools’ lack of attention to practical activities of scientist spirit.The reasons for these problems are threefold:students’ low interest in integration,teachers’ low integration ability,and schools’ low integration efforts.In response to these reasons,corresponding countermeasures are proposed:using educational synergy to cultivate students’ interest in scientist spirit concerns;increasing the importance to stimulate teachers’scientist spirit innovation potential;and changing traditional concepts to strengthen school scientist spirit cultivation efforts.Finally,the lesson "The pursuit of truth is a process" in the textbook "Philosophy and Culture" is used as an example to combine the teaching design of scientist spirit and provide a concrete and referenceable example for the integration of scientist spirit into the teaching of high school ideology and politics. |
