| Since the reform and opening up,China’s economy has ushered in a golden period of development, and social productivity has increased significantly. With the continuous advancement of urbanization,inter-regional population flows are also becoming more frequent. At the end of 2019,the national floating population exceeded 236 million, accounting for 16.9% of the country’s total population.Orderly and large-scale population flow plays an irreplaceable role in driving regional economic development and promoting urbanization.Improving the willingness of floating population to stay is the top priority of urbanization construction. In order to ensure people’s livelihood and promote economic development, the state has judged the situation and proposed to improve the quality of urbanization development and improve the new urbanization strategy during the 14 th Five-Year Plan period. In recent years, the tertiary industry has replaced the secondary industry as the main body of my country’s urban economic development. The optimization and adjustment of the industrial structure will inevitably affect the employment of labor and the willingness of floating population to stay. Therefore, under the background of new urbanization,it is of practical significance to study the impact of urban industrial structure adjustment on the floating population’s willingness to stay. The theoretical study of this paper analyzes the push and pull effect of urban industrial structure adjustment on floating population, analyzes the comprehensive income of floating population based on this, and studies the influence mechanism of urban industrial structure adjustment on floating population’s residence intention from three paths of family income, employment and urban public services.Mechanism, the empirical part uses the matching data of the national floating population dynamic monitoring data in 2017 and the macro data of 275 prefecture-level cities in 2016 to construct a probit model for regression analysis, and verify the robustness of the benchmark regression by replacing explanatory variables.Considering that there are differences in the regions, education levels, occupational categories and migration time of different floating populations, this paper further conducts an empirical test from the perspective of regional and individual heterogeneity. In addition,in the empirical part, the three influence paths of family income, employment and urban public services are also tested. This paper draws useful conclusions based on the above theoretical and empirical research. The results show that:(1)The adjustment of urban industrial structure has a significant role in promoting the floating population’s willingness to stay.(2)The adjustment of urban industrial structure will enhance the residence intention of floating population by increasing family income, and also by improving employment rate and urban public service level.(3)The adjustment of urban industrial structure will enhance the residence intention of floating population by increasing family income, and also by improving employment rate and urban public service level; At the level of individual characteristics, the adjustment of urban industrial structure has a greater impact on the willingness to stay of the floating population who have received higher education, are engaged in secondary industry labor, and have a short floating time.Based on the above analysis results, this paper puts forward the following rational and feasible countermeasures and suggestions on how to strengthen the floating population’s willingness to stay: First, planning the industrial development path well.Secondly, the government and relevant units should make overall plans for multi-dimensional institutional arrangements that are conducive to the long-term residence of the floating population. Finally, the government and relevant enterprises should help the floating population to improve their own quality, realize "person-post matching" and improve their mobility in the talent market. |
