Under the background of the new curriculum reform,the middle school history curriculum has acceler ated the pace of reform.In 2017,the Ministry of Education issued the History Curriculum Standards for Or dinary Senior High schools were released(and will be revised in 2020);In 2022,the Curriculum Standards f or History of Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)was released.The new history curriculum standards for junior and senior high schools emphasize the important role of curriculum resources in teaching,while loca l resources,as a component of history curriculum resources,should be attached importance to history teachi ng in middle schools.In order to combine the local resources of Youyang area with the history teaching activities of Chongqi ng Youyang No.1 Middle School,it is necessary to sort out the local resources and excavate the available c urriculum resources.After sorting out,it is found that youyang area is rich in local resources,and the minor ity culture is prominent,and close to students’life,vivid image.If it can be used reasonably in teachi ng,it is of great value not only to the improvement of students’history literacy,the promotion of hist ory teachers’professional growth,the development of school moral education,but also to the inherit ance and development of local excellent traditional culture.However,through the questionnaire survey of s tudents and interviews with teachers,it is found that there are still some problems in the application of local resources in Youyang No.1 Middle School,which is mainly manifested in the limited application and singl e application of local resources in history teaching.The reasons are as follows: first,history occupies a low position in the curriculum of junior and senior high schools,with less class time arrangement.Secondly,so me teachers’professional quality is insufficient,and their local knowledge reserve and teaching skill s need to be further improved.Thirdly,due to the influence of exam-oriented education,there is no effectiv e evaluation and incentive mechanism for the use of local resources under the current examination evaluati on system.This at present,the party should pay attention to local resources,such as schools,teachers and a concerted effort to improve the use of local resources,discusses how to import new lesson in the classroom teaching,teaching of new class,class summary,homework,and studies travel,knowledge contests,seminar s and other extracurricular activities to promote use of local resources in the middle school history teaching effect.
