Medical social work has a certain degree of social recognition in alleviating Doctor-patient Conflict, providing material support and pressure relief for service objects, but the development of medical social work faces the problem of lack of professionals. As an important way to train future professional medical social workers, medical social work practice can effectively alleviate this problem. However, due to the limitations of individual characteristics and social environment, medical social work interns will have role conflict when they enter the actual work situation to provide professional services for service objects in need.Based on this, this study interviewed 9students majoring in social work in H University,3 medical social workers,1 medical staff and 4 interns in other universities who practiced in the cancer hospital to explore the role conflict of interns in the process of practice, hoping to alleviate the role conflict encountered by subsequent interns in the field of practice,Contribute to the training of professional medical social workers and promoting the development of medical social work. This study first presents the practical process of medical social work interns from H University entering cancer hospitals, and reveals the problems of role conflict they face.Secondly, after combing through the interview data, the role conflict theory is used to analyze the causes of the role conflict problems faced by the interns. Finally,an adjustment strategy to alleviate the problem of conflict between the roles of interns is deduced. The study found: First, medical social work interns develop three types of role conflicts in the course of practice.Among them,intra-role conflicts are divided into expectation-type conflicts, adaptive conflicts and practice-type conflicts;inter-role conflicts are divided into competent conflicts and value conflicts;and extra-role conflicts are divided into choice behavior conflicts and overload conflicts.Second, the adjustment process of medical social work interns requires both the role of self-continuous adaptation to meet the needs of the environment and the adjustment of the external environment to suit the development of the role. Therefore, the adjustment strategy for interns can be carried out from both the individual and social dimensions. In terms of personal dimension, the most important thing is to improve the professional ability and individual quality of interns, and to clarify the boundaries between what can and cannot be done;starting from the social environment,it can start from three aspects: clarifying the roles and responsibilities of medical social workers, increasing investment in the medical field in social work education in colleges and universities, and improving the recognition of medical social work.Through the above research conclusions,it can be seen that the role conflict problem of interns is closely related to individual characteristics and macro social environment, and it is important to adjust their roles to promote the learning and improvement of individual interns, but what is more important is the social adjustment of the macro social environment to provide a good practice environment for interns. |
