In recent years, with the continuous improvement of comprehensive strength,China has introduced a series of special policies for child protection and rescue issues, and the material level of protection for children in distress tends to be stable, and psychological rescue is also gradually enhanced.Self-efficacy,as a positive psychological development factor, can influence children’s choice of behavior, and a good level of self-efficacy can enable children in distress to improve their self-expectations and face life in a more positive state. The purpose of this paper is to improve the self-efficacy level of the clients, summarize the experience of self-efficacy improvement, and verify the effectiveness of case management in providing comprehensive services for children in distress. The study found that the self-efficacy of the clients was lower than normal in three areas, namely, emotional efficacy, communication efficacy, and learning efficacy, and they had confidence and ability deficits in emotional regulation, peer interaction, and learning function. These disturbances will negatively affect their self-efficacy development to varying degrees, and if they are not stopped effectively in time, children in difficulty will easily develop self-efficacy crisis. The factors affecting the development of self-efficacy of children in distress are complex and multifaceted, and the social work case management intervention model can balance the benefits and costs by assessing the problems and needs of the clients and coordinating the resources of all parties to provide more targeted and specialized comprehensive services. Therefore, this paper is guided by social support theory and incorporates the four self-efficacy factors in case management services, with the core of enhancing the clients’ ability to use resources and continuously realizing the essential requirement of "helping people to help themselves".Through the introduction of resources such as counselors, group activities, university volunteers, and the community, the clients’ specific sense of efficacy is enhanced, and the goal of continuous improvement of self-efficacy is achieved. At the end of the service, the social workers evaluated the effectiveness of the case management intervention in the self-efficacy of children in distress. The evaluation showed that the clients’ self-efficacy scale scores improved significantly, and their emotional adjustment, communication, and learning abilities increased significantly, and their general self-efficacy level developed to a good level. Finally, this paper summarizes the experience of self-efficacy improvement, and analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of case management interventions for children in distress, and makes corresponding recommendations.
