A Case Study Of Applying Rational-emotive Therapy Model To Emotional Management Of Children In Distress

Child abuse event emerge in endlessly in recent years,society becomes more and more attention to the mental health status of children.Troubled children due to their family and the influence of living environment,the emotional expression is more sensitive and fragile,if not timely guidance,are more prone to negative emotions.The rational emotional therapy model believes that the root of the problem is the individual’s irrational beliefs.By guiding individuals through rational thinking and logical reasoning,reshape the irrational beliefs can relieve excessive emotional responses.With the help of the techniques and techniques of rational emotion therapy,case work can effectively intervene in the emotional management of children in distress,and ultimately promote their physical and mental development.Based on the internship experience,this paper selected Z,a troubled child with emotional distress,as the research object and carried out a case study using rational emotion therapy.First of all,the author combed the related literature,and provide theoretical data for research.By collecting Z’s basic information and demand status,sufficient preliminary information is provided for the development of practice.Secondly,on the basis of rational emotion theory and through the results of demand analysis,a service plan is made for Z.This paper focuses on the description and analysis of the case service process of rational emotion therapy applied to the emotional management problems of children in distress,aiming to help the clients get rid of their emotional troubles,improve their emotional management ability,and ultimately promote the physical and mental health development.Finally,the application process of the theory is discussed,and the following conclusions are drawn: First,social work has a positive role in the emotional management of children in distress,relying on professional values and theoretical knowledge,from the perspective of social work,can well analyze the emotional management of children in distress.Second,the rational emotion therapy model is helpful to improve the emotional management ability of children in distress.By dividing the rational belief and the irrational belief,we can treat the events that produce bad emotions more systematically,prevent the bad emotions from getting worse,and improve the emotional management ability of the client.Third,the emotional management of children in distress needs to be paid attention to.To guide the society to pay attention to the emotional problems of children in distress and provide them with more complete solutions to the problems is beneficial to the healthy development of children in distress.
