| Raising a child with hearing impairment can bring enormous impact,continuous pressure and multiple difficulties to families,on the one hand,children with hearing impairment need to be taken care of for a long time,and the related surgery,equipment and training for rehabilitation of children with hearing impairment are expensive;on the other hand,children with hearing impairment are often labeled as a disadvantaged group.In such a social context,not only the children themselves,but also their families are more likely to fall into negative emotions of anxiety,despair and fear.At the same time,many families reorganize their family structure,redistribute family leadership,and change their communication style in order to provide the best medical and rehabilitation outcomes for their children.Families of hearing impaired children,through the joint participation of the whole family,correctly understand the adversity they face and change their thinking and behavior patterns,exploit and use the strengths and resources of the family,promote the self-healing and functional recovery of the family,and maintain the benign and positive operation of the whole family system,which is the embodiment of family resilience.Family resilience of children with hearing impairment is a condition for maintaining the psychological health of family members of children with hearing impairment,and its formation and the development of children with hearing impairment promote each other and develop together,which is of great significance.On the other hand,children with hearing loss are often labeled as a disadvantaged group because of their physical disabilities.In such a social context,not only the children themselves,but also their families are prone to anxiety,despair and fear.At the same time,many families reorganize their family structure,redistribute family leadership,and change their communication style in order to provide the best medical and rehabilitation outcomes for their its formation and the development of children with hearing impairment both promote each other and develop together,which is of great significance.In order to create an environment conducive to the rehabilitation of children with hearing impairment,the researchers observed,analyzed,intervened and evaluated the families of hearing-impaired children from the perspective of family resilience in the course of implementing the project of social work for hearing-impaired children in the Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disabilities in Z-city.At the beginning of the study,the specific situation of family resilience of children with hearing impairment in the rehabilitation center for children with disabilities in Z city was analyzed,and the basic situation of families of children with hearing impairment was understood by means of questionnaires.On this basis,families of children with hearing impairment were randomly selected to conduct unstructured interviews.In the middle of the study,based on the compatibility of family resilience of children with hearing impairment with social work practice,we conducted group intervention services for families with hearing-impaired children based on walsh’s family resilience framework.The three dimensions of family belief system,family communication process and family organization model were used to promote sharing and discussion in the service delivery process,leading the team to view adversity from the vantage point,develop positive family belief system,explore family support from the outside and improve family resilience.At the end of the study,the effectiveness of the family resilience theory in intervening in families of hearing-impaired children,the advantages of small group work in improving the family resilience of hearing-impaired children and the problems faced by families of hearing-impaired children in improving their resilience were summarized.Placing families of hearing-impaired children in the framework of theoretical analysis of family resilience and carrying out interventions at the family level as a whole will help enrich theoretical and practical research on social work,provide new directions of services for families of hearing-impaired children and provide a new perspective for research on hearing-impaired children.In addition,it is important to help families of hearing-impaired children to improve their family resilience,to help parents of hearing-impaired children to strengthen their psychological development,and to help families of hearing-impaired children to understand the psychological responses and needs of children in the event of illness. |
