The literacy of time and space concept embodies the core thinking of the history subject,and it is the embodiment of the essence of the discipline in the core literacy of the history subject.In teaching,the cultivation of students’ time and space concept literacy is very important.After the unified edition of history textbooks has been gradually promoted nationwide,many knowledge points,large amount of information,and limited teaching time have become difficult problems for teachers in teaching.In terms of teaching implementation,the curriculum standards suggest that teaching modes such as theme teaching can be used to integrate the content of history teaching.The theme teaching design is a teaching design mode that can cultivate students’ literacy of time and space concepts.Combining the understanding of the concept of time and space and the design of thematic teaching,this paper investigates and interviews the current situation of cultivating the concept of time and space among high school students in a certain area in Chongqing and the current situation of teachers using the theme teaching to cultivate students’ concept of time and space,and combines personal practice teaching experience.The link of cultivating students’ time and space concept through thematic teaching design: first,determine the theme by closely following the "Course Standard",the content of history textbooks,and students’ learning situation;secondly,use the teaching theme and time and space concept literacy to guide the teaching goals and integrate the teaching material content;In the implementation of the goal of cultivating the concept of time and space.Finally,the teaching evaluation is infiltrated with the concept of time and space,and a variety of evaluation methods are used to promote learning and teaching.Each link is combined with theoretical elaboration and lesson demonstrations,in order to guide the thematic teaching design based on "space-time concept" training and be applied to teaching practice.
