Physical education is an important part of the school curriculum and has an important impact on students’ development.With the comprehensive deepening reform of education,physical education has been gradually emphasized.At present,the physical health level of students has improved,but there is still a gap with the National Physical Fitness Standard for Students.The remote location and slow economic development of Baota District of Yan’an City,the new district of Baota District of Yan’an City is the new hope and pioneer area of education in Yan’an,which adopts the teaching model and philosophy of the famous schools of education and deeply implements the requirements of the new curriculum,which is somewhat different from the philosophy of the education model of the old city.This study explores in depth the differences between the new district and the old urban primary schools in Baota District,Yan’an City,to find out the existing problems and constraints and make corresponding suggestions,thus providing a reference basis for promoting the overall improvement of physical education teaching in Baota District,Yan’an City,and the exploration and development of physical education teaching model in Yan’an City and even in China.This study mainly adopts the research methods of interview method,questionnaire survey method and comparative analysis method.The nature of each school,teaching philosophy,physical education situation,physical education environment,physical education teachers and students’ situation were investigated and compared and analyzed separately,and the following conclusions were drawn.1.the new district junior high school has unique school running characteristics and philosophy compared to the old district,the teachers and students are trained in a diversified way,and the physical education classes are carried out with unique insights,and the physical education is carried out with great importance,etc.In contrast,the school running and teaching philosophy in the old district follows the traditional teaching model and is mostly formalistic in physical education.In contrast,the development of physical education in new district junior high schools is more plastic.2.The organization form of physical education classes in the new district is more diversified,the physical education objectives are reasonably formulated to meet the students’ stage development needs,and the physical education evaluation is targeted;the organization form of physical education classes in the old city is more single,the physical education objectives are reasonably formulated to basically meet the students’ stage development needs,and the physical education evaluation lacks relevance and is less effective.3.Through the comparison of physical education teaching environment,it is found that the new district has priority over the old city in terms of investment in physical education funds,site facilities and leadership attention,but the development of school-based teaching materials is stronger in the old city,and school-based teaching and research are carried out more abundantly.4.The gender structure of physical education teachers in junior high schools in both the new district and the old city is more male than female.The title and age structure of physical education teachers in the old urban area are more reasonable than those in the new area.Physical education teachers in the new area have a higher level of education,but their age and research ability are low,and they participate in vocational training less often.The number of primary school teachers in the old urban area does not meet the standard and the workload is high.Physical education teachers in both the new and old urban areas are dissatisfied with their physical education teaching work,and they all hope to improve the welfare benefits of physical education teachers.5.Students in the new district and the old urban primary school generally like physical education classes,but some of them think that they take physical education classes mainly for promotion exams,with the proportion of this aspect being higher in the old urban area than in the new district.Based on the above findings,the following suggestions are made: 1.build a teaching exchange platform for physical education teachers in the new and old urban areas of Yan’an City to learn more excellent teaching experiences from each other.2.inspect teachers’ implementation of teaching objectives and plans in the new and old urban schools in a timely manner to ensure the supervision of the implementation of the rationality of teaching contents.3.increase the importance of physical education classes to the leaders of the junior high schools in the old urban areas and increase the financial investment in physical education.4.physical education teachers in the new district of Yan’an City should strengthen their vocational training,scientific research ability,learn from the teaching experience of teachers in the old city,combine their own situation and create their own teaching methods and styles.5.physical education teachers in the new district and the old city of Yan’an City should pay attention to the maintenance of teacher-student relationship,understand the students’ situation and help them solve problems in a timely manner.6.for the different schooling characteristics of the two districts combined with the local red cultural characteristics,to establish a red physical education curriculum with Yan’an City characteristics.
