| With the development of science and technology, the traditional teaching mode has been unable to meet the requirements of the society for talents, and considering the characteristics of highly abstract, rigorous logic and wide application of mathematics,it is urgent to find a new teaching mode to supplement the traditional teaching. In the process of searching, educational researchers find that the characteristics of project-based learning are consistent with the requirements of curriculum reform. Therefore, this paper studies the effectiveness of project-based learning in junior middle school mathematics curriculum by designing project-based learning cases and implementing project-based learning model. This paper first discusses the research situation of project-based learning at home and abroad, connotation and theoretical basis of project-based learning.Secondly, combined with the characteristics of project-based learning, this paper summarizes the mathematical content matching project-based learning, puts forward the design principles of project-based learning, formulates the design ideas of project-based learning in teaching, and puts forward the design points. Then, taking "Data Collection","Census and Sampling Survey" and "Data Representation" in the seventh grade mathematics volume of Beijing Normal University as examples, the project learning case design is carried out.Thirdly, this article carries on the implementation to the teaching case and puts forward the teaching suggestion. From the second, this paper adopts quasi-experimental research method, using mathematics test questions and mathematics learning motivation questionnaire to measure and evaluate project-based learning, and using SPSS software analysis to draw a conclusion:project-based learning can improve students’ mathematics learning performance,project-based learning can enhance students’ mathematics learning motivation. Finally, this paper summarizes the project-based learning, and gives the shortcomings of this research and improvement countermeasures, hoping to provide theoretical support for the application of project-based learning in teaching. |
