Abstract/Summary:
"Synthesis and practice" is an important field of primary school mathematics learning.In this field,students will use relevant knowledge and methods to solve real problems in life.In the process of finding problems and solving problems,students will feel the connection between mathematics and other disciplines and real life,promote the accumulation of students’ activity experience,the perception of ideas and methods,improve the ability to solve real problems,and cultivate the consciousness of model and innovation.Form and develop students’ mathematics core accomplishment.Synthesis and practice mainly include theme activities and project learning.Project-based learning focuses on core concepts and principles of disciplines,emphasizes student-centered,guided by driving questions or tasks under the guidance of teachers,independent cooperative exploration based on real life,and finally product display,so as to improve students’ essential abilities and develop higher-order thinking.It can be seen that project-based learning is highly compatible with the field of "synthesis and practice".This paper reviews domestic and foreign literature on project-based learning and "comprehensive and practical" primary school mathematics teaching,extracts research questions,and summarizes the characteristics of project-based learning.Through literature analysis,it is found that the problems existing in the "comprehensive and practical" teaching of primary school mathematics are mainly manifested in the following aspects:(1)the closed learning environment,(2)the presetting of teaching objectives,(3)the limited teaching content,and(4)the single teaching evaluation.Based on the scientific analysis of the problem,taking the students of Class Y,Grade 6,Primary School X in Guyuan City as the research object,the "comprehensive and practical" teaching design of primary school mathematics based on project-based learning is designed and the practical teaching is carried out.The teaching effect is analyzed through classroom observation and interview.On the basis of constructivism learning theory,pragmatic learning theory and situational cognition theory,the characteristics of project-based learning are combined.This paper puts forward some suggestions on the "comprehensive and practical" teaching design of primary school mathematics based on project-based learning:(1)create realistic situations based on students’ interests;(2)focus on core knowledge and design driven tasks;(3)advocate cooperative inquiry and plan learning practices;(4)point to core literacy and cover multiple evaluation.
