Under the background of the new era,civil servants are facing more and more work tasks and challenges in China.In the working environment of high requirements,high burden,high challenges,high tasks and high pressure,the problem of civil servants’ job burnout gradually becoming apparent in some regions of China.Alleviating civil servants’ job burnout has become a new topic in front of the public sectors.This study uses the method of questionnaire to explore the formation mechanism of civil servants’ job burnout by taking 400 civil servants in Fujian Province as the study object.The study constructs a theoretical model based on the resource conservation theory and the job requirementresource model combined with previous related literature.The study used spss22.0 to analyze the current status of civil servants’ job burnout and its three sub-dimensions and the predictive role of compulsory citizenship behavior on the three sub-dimensions of job burnout.Meanwhile,the mediating role of work-family conflict is explored in depth.The study shows that currently,civil servants’ burnout is at the middle to upper level and burnout is prominent.Emotional exhaustion is the most serious,followed by depersonalization.Compulsory citizenship behavior has a significant positive effect on all three subdimensions of civil servants’ burnout.Also,compulsory citizenship behavior has a significant positive effect on work-family conflict in civil servants.Work-family conflict partially mediates the relationship between compulsory citizenship behavior and all three sub-dimensions of burnout.Based on the findings,the study proposes countermeasures and suggestions to alleviate civil servants’ burnout in three aspects: establishing scientific cognition about compulsory citizenship behavior,implementing work-family balance programs,and establishing burnout intervention mechanisms,with a view to providing new ideas for the public sectors to alleviate civil servants’ burnout and build a high-quality professional civil team.
