| As the COVID-19 epidemic continues,the government has taken numerous measures to control the epidemic,and society has entered a special mode of operation.At this time,the national identity of citizens will inevitably change.The national identity of citizens is the psychological root of the existence of a country,which is of great significance to the country.While the youth group is the hope of the country and the nation,college students shoulder the mission of the future development of the country.It is always an important task to improve college students’ national identity.Therefore,in the context of COVID-19,it is necessary to study the influencing factors of college students’ national identity and their effects.In accordance with the idea of raising,analyzing and solving problems,and starting from the theoretical logic of political socialization,this study discusses the above problems at the level of social structure and individual level.Educational background and family background were selected as influencing factors at the social structure level,and evaluation and epidemic prevention actions were selected as influencing factors at the individual level.A questionnaire on College Students’ National Identity under the Background of COVID-19 was designed to conduct a sample survey among college students in Hangzhou.After data collection,reliability and validity test was carried out to ensure the quality of the questionnaire.Then descriptive statistical analysis of the survey samples was carried out.Then the correlation analysis between the study variables;Finally,the binary logistic model is used to conduct regression analysis on the influence factors of social structure level to college students’ national identity,and the structural equation model is used to conduct regression analysis on the influence factors of individual level to college students’ national identity,and test the mediating effect among them.According to the survey results,college students have a high level of national identity and evaluation of COVID-19 preparedness,and are also active in epidemic prevention.The results of regression analysis show that the educational level of college students has a positive impact on their national identity,while the professional background has no effect.In the family background,the mother’s education level has a positive impact on college students’ national identity,and the father works in the public sector of college students’ national identity level is higher.In the evaluation of the epidemic response,the higher the evaluation of the government’s epidemic control effect,the national scientific and technological strength,and the people’s anti-epidemic spirit,the higher the level of national identity.In the epidemic prevention action,the more active the college students participate in epidemic prevention,the higher their level of national identity.The epidemic information contact behavior can positively affect the epidemic prevention participation behavior and then positively affect the college students’national identity,that is,the epidemic prevention participation behavior plays an intermediary role.Conclusions can be drawn from the results of data analysis.For college students,the influence of school and family is no longer strong,and individual factors such as their own social attitudes and participation behaviors play a stronger role in the construction of national identity.It can be said that against the background of the COVID-19 epidemic,the government has mobilized the society to actively fight the epidemic,and the people of the whole country have pooled their strength to overcome the difficulties.People’s social interaction in such a context builds a higher level of national identity.Therefore,cultivating college students’ national identity requires the joint efforts of the government,colleges and universities as well as college students themselves.The government should consolidate the voice of mainstream media and strengthen media supervision.Colleges and universities should attach importance to their own governance ability and develop diversified ideological and political education.College students should improve their information literacy,establish the idea of lifelong learning,and make due contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. |
