The introduction of the three child policy in 2021 marks a new adjustment in China’s fertility policy, and the issue of female fertility has once again aroused extensive social discussion. At the 20 th National Congress of the CPC held in October this year,"the establishment of a reproductive support policy system" was included in the report, which reflects the great importance that the party and the state attach to this issue, and is a major progress at the institutional level. In recent years,China is facing the problems of aging population and low fertility.Shanghai is one of the cities in the forefront of China’s economic development, and its aging and low fertility problems are particularly prominent. As an important part of the population of childbearing age in China, professional women have a profound impact on the fertility level of the whole society. The research on this group is of great significance for improving the overall social fertility rate. Therefore, this paper uses SPSS25.0 analysis software to carry out chi square test and logistic regression analysis on the influencing factors of Shanghai professional women’s fertility desire.Through the questionnaire survey and interview analysis on the childbearing willingness of professional women in Shanghai,it is concluded that the current willingness of professional women in Shanghai to have multiple children is low,and many factors will be comprehensively considered before deciding to have children.By issuing 301 questionnaires to professional women working and living in Shanghai,we found that age, registered permanent residence, education level, occupational nature, position,my only child status, personal energy tendency, family monthly disposable income, spouse’s only child status, spouse’s education level, spouse’s family support, intergenerational support, workplace influence The influence of social policies has an impact on the childbearing intentions of professional women in Shanghai.Among them, age, one child status, monthly disposable income, intergenerational support and spouse support are the independent influencing factors of Shanghai professional women’s fertility desire.Through targeted in-depth interviews with10 professional women of different ages from all walks of life,it is concluded that the attitude of one child, the number and quality of childcare institutions, the attitude of employers, social policies and other factors will also have an impact on professional women’s reproductive aspirations.Foreign developed countries have carried out research on improving the fertility rate earlier.By drawing on the experience of France,Germany and the United States in improving the fertility rate in their own countries, they have summarized three aspects of experience for reference: providing adequate economic subsidies, further developing a vacation system that reflects gender equality, and improving the social service system related to childcare. Therefore, from the perspective of individuals, families and society, this paper proposes to actively guide the transformation of childbearing concepts, strengthen the role of fathers in family education, optimize the old-age security system to enhance intergenerational support, pool multiple forces to build a inclusive childcare service system, establish a stable family economic security mechanism, urge employers to develop fertility friendly measures, and improve female fertility insurance and infant medical insurance systems. |
