Generally in China,professional women not only have to work,but also have to endure certain family responsibilities,As this double duties spend them a lot of time and energy,selection has to be determined between to the alternative.According to an survey on the social status of women in China,more than a third of women had a career-breaking due to marriage or having children or taking care of children.Therefore,dilemmas of employment and parenting of professional women do exist in China and it is necessary to explore the supply-side problems of woman’s welfare in our country,so as to pay more attention to the reproductive welfare of professional women,and to build a balance between family and work for professional women by increasing the level of reproductive welfare of professional women.On the clarifying birth-welfare as a core concept,based on the benefit-cost theory and multiple welfare theory,this paper summarizes the characters of the welfare system of professional women in some developed countries,while comparing with the current situation of the maternity welfare system of professional women in our country,analysis the relevant supporting policies of our country,the protection of the reproductive rights and interests of female workers,the demands for care,and the causes of some problems,such as the shortage of state welfare payment less supporting of the government to the unit,the shortage of public resources and so on.Therefore,in order to promote the reproductive welfare of professional women in China,some achievements should be made in the following aspects: to build a multi-level reproductive welfare system,to increase government financial support and to provide welfare through multiple subjects.
