Research On Statistical Data Quality Management Of Local Government Departments

The quality management of statistical data is the responsibility of government departments and is one of the key points of the government’s public management system,including the research and development of statistical investigation systems,organization and implementation,and data disclosure.The statistical results will objectively reflect the actual operation of various industries.The government department will formulate future development strategies based on the development trend reflected in the data.In recent years,due to the rapid development of information technology,the ways in which the public obtains information have also begun to diversify.There have been increasing doubts about the statistical data of government departments and concerns about the factors that affect the quality of statistical data in government departments.Therefore,studying and proposing feasible measures to address the problems in the current management model of government department statistical work is of great significance for improving the level of government department statistical work management.Based on the public management theories such as public goods and government management,this paper makes an in-depth study of the statistical results and related services of government departments as a kind of public goods,and discusses the problems and causes of statistical data quality management of government departments through interviews,literature review,and combined with the actual work situation.Taking the statistical data quality management work of S Provincial Department of Transportation as an example,by analyzing the current situation of its statistical management work,find out the existing problems of the current data quality and analyze the reasons,and propose targeted measures to improve the statistical data quality management work.The content consists of six parts.First,it introduces the background of the study,meaning and research thinking;The second is to sort out the relevant concepts and theories of public management and statistical data quality management to provide concepts and theories to this paper;The third part is an introduction for the statistical data quality management of S Provincial Department of Transportation;The fourth is to discuss the problems and cause analysis of statistical data quality management of S Provincial Department of Transportation;Fifthly,it selected the statistical data quality management of the Department of Transportation of the representative provinces in China to form experience for learning and reference;Sixthly,based on the actual situation of the Department of Transportation of S Province,this paper puts forward feasible suggestions to improve the quality management level of statistical data of government departments.
