Research On The Strategy Of Improving The Statistical Credibility Of W City Government Under The Background Of Big Data

With the rapid development of information technology,big data is promoting the development of various industries with an unprecedented trend,and its booming situation also marks the coming of the era of big data.Government statistics is not only a "monitor" to reflect the national economic condition,but also a "barometer" to measure the economic operation.As the most critical production department of data and economy,government statistics has begun to step into the era of big data with data as the core.Under this background,the public has more and more access to data,and their attention to government statistics is increasing.As the solid rear of the statistics department,once the credibility of government statistics is questioned,the statistics data lose the significance of macro-control and decision-making.In order to better adapt to the characteristics of the era of big data and explore effective countermeasures to enhance the credibility of government statistics,statistical experts and scholars have done a lot of related research,but most of them are carried out at the national level.There is a lack of research on local grassroots statistical work,which is the foundation of national statistical work and plays a key role in supporting national data.Therefore,exploring the use of big data to promote and improve the accuracy and timeliness of public digital collection is of great research value to the discipline of public administration.Taking W city as an example,this thesis aims at improving the statistical credibility of local governments in the era of big data,draws lessons from the research results of domestic and foreign scholars,and takes new public service theory,digital governance theory and information asymmetry theory as theoretical basis.Literature research,investigation and case analysis are used as research methods.This thesis evaluates the credibility of government statistics from three aspects: statistical ability,data quality and social influence.Through in-depth analysis of the opportunities and challenges brought by the emergence of big data to the credibility of local government statistics,the thesis actively explores the new combination point between big data and government statistics,and puts forward targeted strategic suggestions,hoping to provide valuable information for enhancing the credibility of local government statistics and establishing a new image of government statistics.
