The Narrative Strategy And Meaning Construction Of Poverty Alleviation Documentary

The rapid development of China cannot be separated from the foresight of the Party Central Committee and the correct decision of poverty alleviation.In 2013,on the basis of research and analysis of China’s poverty problem,General Secretary Xi made scientific adjustments to the strategic objectives of poverty alleviation and further enhanced the level of poverty alleviation work in China,proposing the strategy of "targeted poverty alleviation" on the basis of a clear understanding of the root causes of poverty."The strategy of "precise poverty alleviation" not only reflects the steady progress of China’s poverty alleviation work,but also indicates that China’s poverty alleviation work has entered a more critical period of deepening development,and the concept of poverty alleviation has also received extensive attention from academics and formed an increasingly rich theoretical research system.As a very representative contemporary social and cultural product,documentary film is able to reenact historical events based on a unique time flow,so as to achieve its specific political,economic and cultural goals.With the promotion of poverty alleviation,documentaries on poverty alleviation have appeared in the public’s view.These documentaries are created on the basis of real cases in the work of poverty alleviation,and show the advanced figures and deeds emerging from the work of poverty alleviation in China with objective and detailed contents,and make comprehensive use of various audiovisual means to show the hardships and difficulties of the work,as well as the determination and courage of our people to overcome poverty with concerted efforts.The documentary also brings out the determination and courage of our people in overcoming poverty together,gives full play to the characteristics of truthfulness,objectivity and plainness,summarizes and reviews the struggle to get rid of poverty in the poor areas of China,and shows the transformation of the fate of the people and the change of the image of the regions in the work of poverty alleviation,so as to raise the audience’s cognitive level of poverty alleviation work,stimulate people’s emotional resonance,and reflect on and understand the important significance of the work of poverty alleviation.This paper selects a number of poverty alleviation themes.This paper selects some documentaries on poverty alleviation as research objects,and analyzes and discusses their textual meaning construction characteristics,narrative strategies and intrinsic values on the basis of repeated observation.Then,the theoretical elaboration is carried out to explain the concept,form,characteristics and other elements of poverty alleviation documentaries in China;then,the research method is combined with text analysis to analyze and discuss the meaning construction and narrative strategy of poverty alleviation documentaries.Finally,based on the analysis and grasp of the existing problems,the scientific theory is used as a guide to propose strategies for optimization and improvement,providing scientific reference for the innovative development of poverty-alleviation documentaries and valuable reference for the creation of other types of documentaries.The main objectives of this paper are as follows: firstly,to improve people’s awareness and understanding of poverty alleviation work in China,and to do a good job of propaganda for the smooth development of poverty alleviation work;secondly,to comprehensively and systematically analyze and discuss the development status of poverty alleviation documentaries at the present stage using textual analysis,case study analysis and other research methods,to summarize and analyze their advantages and shortcomings,and to provide reference opinions for their subsequent innovative development.
