In response to the call of the Ministry of Education,since 2017,major universities have actively offered the course "Overview of China" for international students to study.A large number of scholars have conducted research on the course of "Overview of China",and found that there are some problems in teaching,teaching materials and curriculum Settings.Overview of China has many contents and is difficult,so it is a difficult problem for international students to study efficiently in Overview of China.Based on the problems found in the previous research on the course of "China Profile",this paper distributed questionnaires to international students and teachers teaching the course of "China Profile" in Guangxi,and summarized and analyzed the collected questionnaires,concluding that there were problems in the course setting of "China Profile" in Guangxi,such as course positioning,period setting and test forms.In terms of teaching,there are some problems such as a small number of full-time teachers,teachers are more rigid in preparing lessons,and there are also problems about how to tell Chinese stories well in the course of China overview.In order to solve the above problems,this paper puts forward the corresponding optimization paths respectively.In terms of curriculum setting,it proposes that the introduction of China course should be positioned as the required general studies course,on this basis,the teaching objectives of the introduction of China course are clarified,and the curriculum resource platform is finally constructed.In terms of teaching,teachers should flexibly adjust the teaching mode and teaching method,integrate the teaching content,and choose the appropriate content according to the level of students.Schools should train a team of full-time teachers,adjust the assessment methods,and use more interesting and cultural assessment methods.In terms of concept optimization,teachers should base on the characteristics of Guangxi in the course of overview of China,mobilize students’ enthusiasm and initiative,and guide students to tell and tell Chinese stories well.
