Recently,Multiple Intelligences Theory is one of the most influential education theories in our country,which advocates the principle of positive student’s perspective,the principle of teaching in accordance of competency-based instructing,and the principle of diversified evaluation.Once the theory of multiple intelligences was applied in practice,it has been widely used in teaching practice and achieved good results.Since homework is an important part of teaching practice,it could have applicability and advantages to apply this theory in homework designing of the Chinese Listening and Speaking Course.Firstly,the author investigates the situation of homework of the Chinese Listening and Speaking Course with the questionnaire to the students of Chinese major in Khon Kaen University of Thailand.The research analyzes in detailed and in-depth the current situation of the Chinese Listening and Speaking Course from six dimensions: the importance of homework,the students attitude,the form of h omework,the amount and difficulty of homework,the teachers practice and the effect of homework.Then,it analyzes the applicability and advantages of the Theory of Multiple Intelligences applied in the homework designing of Chinese Listening and Speaking Course and presents the designing principles and strategies.Finally,under the guidance of this theory,the author tries to design the homework of Chinese Listening and Speaking Course,and investigates and analyzes the outcomes of the homework implementation,which shows that the designing of the course’s homework based on the Theory of Multiple Intelligences has gotten positive effect on students attitude and achievement.This paper consists of three parts: introduction,text and conclusion.The introduction is composed of the research background,research significance,research purpose,research methods and current research status.The main text has four chapters.The first chapter describes the concepts of "Multiple Intelligences Theory","Chinese Listening and Speaking Course" and "homework design".The second chapter introduces the situation of the Chinese major in Khon Kaen University and describes and analyzes the data collected from the investigation of the homework of Chinese Listening and Speaking Course.The third chapter analyzes the feasibility of applying the “Multiple Intelligences Theory” to the homework designing of the course,expounds the applicability and designing advantages of applying the theory to the homework design of the course,and puts forward the designing principles and strategies.In the fourth chapter,the author designs the specific homework examples of the course and investigates the implementation effect under the guidance of the theory.The conclusion includes the research conclusion,innovation and deficiency of this research.
