| In today’s world,a new round of scientific and technological revolution is emerging,industrial transformation is booming,and the integration of related technologies in the fields of automobiles and energy,transportation,information and communication is accelerating.New energy vehicle is not only the main trend for global auto transformation,but also the strategic choice for the high-quality development of China’s auto industry.On June 9,2021,at the 2021 Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Forum Annual Meeting “Opening a New Chapter Under Great Changes” China Business Mind Plenary Session,Wang Chuanfu,BYD President,joined the forum as a representative of manufacturing entrepreneurs and delivered a keynote speech on “BYD’s Persistence”,which mainly described BYD’s 26-year history of sticking to its green dream,insisting on technological innovation,focusing on manufacturing development,and sticking to the responsibility of entrepreneurs.The corpus of this simultaneous interpretation comes from the speech delivered by BYD President Wang Chuanfu at the conference.The corpus contains many technology terms,and the interpreter needs to read a lot of materials to prepare the terms before the interpretation;Secondly,in terms of the speaker,Mr.Wang Chuanfu,has a certain accent,and the speaking speed was varied,which brought certain challenges to the interpreter’s interpretation during the online meeting.After the practice,the author analyzed the practice of simulated simultaneous interpretation under the guidance of Interpretive Theory,which holds that the interpretation process consists of three stages: source language comprehension,deverbalization,and re-expression.Based on the framework of Interpretive Theory,the author expanded the theoretical framework and established own analysis framework:Regarding the stage of comprehension,the author shared own insights from two aspects:source language comprehension and information prediction;in the stage of deverbalization,the author carried out in-depth analysis on two aspects of information simplification and information supplementation;In terms of re-expression,the author used two interpretation methods including free interpretation and sentence pattern adjustment,and analyzed the advantages of each interpretation method.At the end of the report,the author summarized the limitations of this practice and gave own suggestions.This report starts from the theory,through the analysis to the specific sentences and interpretation methods of the practical corpus,explaining the problems encountered in the interpretation process and the solutions in detail,hoping to accumulate experience for future interpretation practice,and provide other Interpreters with reference. |
