General Secretary Xi Jinping has repeatedly talked about the creative transformation and innovative development of excellent traditional culture on many occasions.The national policy has created a favorable policy environment for developing and inheriting the excellent traditional Chinese culture.Due to the continuous progress of the times,the audience has changed from entertainment consumption needs to spiritual and cultural needs,and the impact of Western culture has intensified.Especially in the new media environment,it has invaded the audience’s cultural cognition more quickly,and the occupying power of traditional Chinese culture has become being threatened.Therefore,the mass media must play a major role in the process of disseminating China’s excellent traditional culture,in order to meet the growing spiritual and cultural needs of the audience,and assume the social responsibility of promoting traditional Chinese culture.The culture of the Forbidden City occupies an important position in traditional Chinese culture,and the inheritance and development of the Forbidden City culture is crucial to the promotion and inheritance of excellent traditional culture."New,Forbidden City" takes the Forbidden City as the presentation object.Through the display of symbols such as buildings,cultural relics,characters,cultural archives,etc.,in the form of "exploration + decryption + cultural and creative development",the program ratings have been improved,and cultural and creative The appearance of products also brings traditional cultural elements into daily life.Starting from the perspective of semiotic theory and the time and space expression of cultural memory,this paper takes the third season of "Shangxin,Forbidden City" as the research object,adopts the cultural symbol system as the paradigm of semiotic analysis,combines Pierce’s semiotic theory,and uses semiotic theory Analytical method and case study method are used to analyze the presentation of program symbols,the classification of the relationship between cultural symbols and referents in the Forbidden City,the construction process of the cultural significance of the Forbidden City,and the reproduction of historical and cultural forms.Through the analysis of the way of presentation of symbols,we explore the process of awakening and reshaping the public’s cultural memory,so as to realize cultural identity,national identity and national identity.Finally,combined with "Shangxin,Forbidden City",the cultural symbol presentation will activate and re-emphasize cultural memory.The process of constructing puts forward suggestions for the development of cultural variety shows.
