With the reform of modern education,varieties of teaching methods appear continuously,one of which is English immersion teaching.English immersion teaching,a new teaching method,originates from Canada.And it is a teaching method combining subject knowledge teaching with language teaching.It can not only make a difference to subject knowledge learning but also improve students’ language capacity.Every teaching method should be tested by practice.Teaching effect can be influenced by many factors,and classroom management is on the top of the list.Good classroom management is a guarantee of teaching quality.We can say that the successful implementation of one teaching method relies on efficient classroom management.We should spend more time on classroom management to make English immersion teaching really work in class.It is essential to learn about the current status of English immersion teaching,find the problems,analyze the reasons and seek out some appropriate solutions.In the study,I investigated 17 teachers and 400 students of Lin Qu No.6 high school,using questionnaires and interview method.I analyzed the study from six prospects,including basic information of survey participants,the objectives of management,the circumstance management,subject management,discipline management and time management.When I analyzed the data,I found that there were some problems in the classroom management of English immersion teaching of Lin Qu No.6 high school.The problems included the single objective,the lacking of physical environment management,the confusion of the main body of management,the relaxation of management system and the inefficiency of time management.Then I consulted more information and did further research,concluding the main reasons of these problems.In the classroom management,the objective that the teacher set was too utilitarian,the function of physical environment was ignored,the role orientation was inaccurate,the efficient rules and regulations was absent and the time allocation was not proper.To optimize the classroom management of English immersion teaching,I put forward to some solutions to the problems above.First,we should optimize the objective management and set diversified goals.Second,creating good physical environment and English communicative environment are vital.Third,we are supposed to orient the roles and be aware of the main body of class.Besides,it is crucial to establish scientific and effective regulations,showing the features of English class.Last but not least,we ought to enhance the awareness of time management and improve the capacity of time management.
