A Report On The Translation Of Introduction Of Audio And Video Interactive Technologies In The Agora Developer Community From The Perspective Of Skopos Theory

With the rise of global science and technology,audio and video interactive technologies have made cross-border and cross-regional communication a reality.Especially in 2020,with the impact of the COVID-19,new teaching and working models such as remote working,online meeting,and online teaching have quickly pushed topics related to audio and video interactive technology to the peak.This report selects 10 foreign detailed explanations of audio and video interactive technology as texts of translation practice.Guided by Skopos theory,and combined with the translation characteristics of scientific text such as rigorous vocabulary,objectivity and logic,this report explores and summarizes the translation skills of scientific text related to audio and video interactive technology at the levels of vocabulary,syntax,and text.At the lexical level,translation problems involving terminology and nominalization are primarily analyzed using the fidelity rule of the Skopos theory;at the syntactic level,passive sentences and complex sentences are specifically analyzed according to the skopos rule,among which the analysis of complex sentences is adopted with skills of linear translation,division,and reconstruction;at the textual level,the readability of translated text is mainly assured by textual cohesion and logical coherence of text combined with the coherence rule in the Skopos theory.Based on the features of scientific text,this report summarizes corresponding translation methods and skills by analyzing specific examples in scientific texts,which aims to improve the quality of translation and provide references for translators engaged in audio and video technology translation.
