A Report On The Translation Of Medical Instrument Company Business Plan From The Perspective Of Skopos Theory

This thesis is a report on Chinese-English translation practice.The translation materials are what the translator handled during the internship.As the translation materials mainly aim at the investors or related spheres to introduce its products in order to persuade them to invest or develop cooperation,the translator strove for accuracy and delivered accurate and complete information to the target readers in line with their language and thinking habits.Due to the differences in the language characteristics of Chinese and English and the particularity of the target group,the translator carefully analyzed the linguistic characteristics of the translation materials from vocabulary such as professional terms and sentences,the syntax such as long and difficult sentences,passive sentences and discourse.And on the basis of three principles of skopos theory,namely,skopos principle,coherence principle,and fidelity principle,the translator selected some typical cases for analysis and raised solutions to the translation problems so as to verify the feasibility of skopos theory in the translation of the scientific and technological texts and then enrich some practical experiences for the similar translation in the future.
