| The theme of this paper is the result of the fusion of imperial examination system and folk belief in the traditional society of Chinathe worship of imperial examination gods.With this phenomenon as the background,Minnan area had its own imperial examination god-Lin Tai Master.Then it continued to grow and evolve into the corresponding belief of Lin.After taking shape,this belief gradually spread into the belief circle of Lin’ belief.Until now,there are three places that represent the core of Lin’s belief and behavior:the cemetery of Master Lim,the ancestral temple,and Yunsan Academy.Among them,Yunshan is in a pivotal position.Through the analysis of typical cases and major daily activities,other places for religious activities took Yunshan Academy as the sacrificial center and the model of religious activities.Through the forest too,Confucius further dig of relevant literature,combined with theoretical analysis of the sociology of religion has found signs of "god":the first is "Lin Taishi" be mistaken as "Lin Taishi";the second is to explore the relationship between Tao Wangling and Lin;The third is through the collection of folk explanations of the reason why Lin had no children.Finally,it is found that folklore,official attitudes and historical records have all influenced and transformed historical events to varying degrees,leading to obvious artificial traces in the current version of the story,which also reflects the process of Lin as a mortal,being continuously deified.The process of his faith fusion and the embodiment of his faith further verified his deification.Kuixing Pavilion was set up in Yunshan Academy,and the worship of Kuixing was regarded as one of the official sacrificial activities,which together constituted the belief of Lin Tai Master gong,with Lin as the form and Kuixing god as the core.Zhu was consecrated together with the imperial examination deities,and these sacrificial activities were officially included in the "public offerings" of the academy,making it reasonable to worship the deities in the academy.And became a worship of saints.Because of its function of moral education,Sages worship was often supported by the government.In the public’s mind,Lin and Zhu were both incarnations of Kuixing and Wen Changxing,so Yunshan Academy itself was named "Academy" naturally when it was established,although it was a place for sacrifice,which showed that the local community was also influenced by Sages worship.Therefore,"Yunshan Academy" is actually the embodiment of the fusion of Lin’s belief,Kuixing belief and Sages worship.The last part explores the reason why Lin was selected as the candidate of the imperial examination god in this region,and concludes that Yunshan Academy is actually a geographical organization formed by blood organization beyond the scope of the clan and expressed in the form of faith.Further analysis,the individual personality traits of two sides(obedience and rebellion),is constructed for the both sides of the local collective personality characteristics(compliance and independent),form the history of the local cultural personality authority latitude,local government recognition of Lin too,Confucius religion is a symbol of admission to this kind of historical authority,and through the recognition,attached to the local government authority confirmed in the present moment.This kind of development mode of folk belief,which has two sources of authority,historical and current,and has evolved into local social organizations,is called dual authority mode here.The dual authority formed from the two levels of personality shaping and power relationship construction is an important endowment of regional identity and local culture,and also an important symbol of transcending clan organization to form local religious organization. |
