Because of Economic reform and opening up,the world has set off an upsurge of learning Chinese,so the foreigners-oriented Chinese learning dictionary has been developed.The foreigners-oriented Chinese learning dictionary has made great progress,but with the development of the times,the compilation of internal foreigners-oriented Chinese learning dictionary is sound,with low market share,and it can not give full play to its important part in Chinese teaching.The compilation theory of foreigners-oriented English learning dictionary is mature and has a large market percentage,for developing foreigners-oriented Chinese learning dictionary.In the research,the paper take Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary as the reference object,taking the Commercial Press Learners’ Dictionary of Contemporary Chinese as the research object,taking animal entries as the starting point,through comparison,and takes whether it meets the learning needs of dictionary users as the standard,to analyze the feature,advantages and disadvantages of the two dictionaries from three aspects: interpretation,interpretation examples and interpretation attached information.Finally,the paper raises corresponding suggestions for the compilation and use of domestic foreigners-oriented Chinese learning dictionary.The paper includes four chapters.The first chapter compares the explanation.The paper finds that the explanation in the reference dictionary are more effective than that in the research dictionary,and the latter also explains the difficult words in the way of inclusion to improve the readability;The generic words in the two dictionaries have their own characteristics.The former underlines distinctive semantic features,while the latter is more systematic.The second chapter compares the explanatory examples.The example richness of the research dictionary is higher than that of he reference dictionary.It can provide contextual information and help dictionary users better understand the cultural metaphorical meaning of the entry.The third chapter compares the attached information from the interpretation.The illustration richness of the research dictionary is higher than that of the reference dictionary,helping dictionary users understand.The reference dictionary has an independent online dictionary website,which can meet the learning needs of current learners from different angles.The fourth chapter summarizes the feature,advantages and disadvantages of the two dictionaries,and provides some suggestions for the compilation and usage of domestic and foreigners-oriented Chinese learning dictionaries.
