| Objective:(1)To compile a scientific, standardized and highly reliable questionnaire of PICU nurses’ knowledge and practice of early activities for severely ill children.(2)To investigate the current situation of knowledge, attitude and behavior of PICU nurses in carrying out early activities for critically ill children and analyze its influencing factors by using the Questionnaire on Knowledge, belief and Practice of PICU nurses in carrying out early activities for critically ill children,so as to provide reference for the construction and implementation of scientific and reasonable early activities program in the future.Methods:(1)Preparation stage of PICU nurses’ knowledge and practice questionnaire for early activities of critically ill children:Based on the theory of knowledge, belief and action, the contents of the questionnaire were preliminarily formulated by using literature research and qualitative research, and then the questionnaire items were modified and screened through two rounds of Delphi expert letter consultation method and reliability and validity test,so as to form a formal questionnaire of knowledge, belief and action of early activities carried out by PICU nurses for severely ill children.(2)Investigation stage of PICU nurses’ knowledge, trust and practice of early activities for severely ill children:The multi-stage stratified sampling method was adopted to select 1013 PICU nurses in China.PICU nurses were used to carry out a questionnaire survey on the knowledge, belief and practice of early activities of severely ill children. The collected data were sorted out and analyzed using Excel and SPSS26.0.General information about PICU nurses,PICU nurses to carry out early activities of children with severe illness knowledge and behavior score were described by mean, standard deviation, frequency, percentage;Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the correlation between PICU nurses’ knowledge, belief and actions in carrying out early activities in severely ill children.Whether the difference between PICU nurses’ general information and the scores of knowledge, belief and behavior in early activities of severely ill children was statistically significant by using independent sample t test and one-way variance; With knowledge, belief and behavior of early activities for critically ill children as dependent variables and general data of PICU nurses as independent variables,a multiple linear regression model was established to analyze the influencing factors of knowledge, belief and practice level of early activities carried out by PICU nurses for critically ill children.Results:(1)Preparation stage of PICU nurses’ early activity knowledge and action questionnaire for critically ill children: The "PICU nurses’ early activity Knowledge and Action Questionnaire for critically ill children" compiled in this study includes three dimensions of knowledge, belief and behavior,13 second-level indicators and 40 third-level items. The total Cronbach ’α coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.945,the knowledge dimension was 0.845,the attitude dimension was 0.935,and the behavior dimension was 0.935,indicating high reliability of the questionnaire. The exploratory factor analysis in structural validity was used to extract 9 factors, and the rotating load component matrix was observed. It was found that the factor load matrix was consistent with the questionnaire structure design.Investigation of the status quo of PICU nurses’ knowledge, trust and practice of early activities in children with severe diseases: the total average score of the questionnaire of PICU nurses’ knowledge, trust and practice of early activities in children with severe diseases was 136.88±13.56 points. There was a positive correlation among knowledge, attitude and behavior(P<0.001).The average score of knowledge dimension was 40.24±7.14 points, among which the education level, whether the department carried out early activities,PICU years and the province were the influencing factors of knowledge score(P<0.05).The average score of attitude dimension was46.50±4.48 points, among which whether the department carried out early activities,PICU years and education level were influencing factors of attitude score(P<0.05).The average score of behavioral dimension was 50.14±7.92 points, among which whether the department had early activity program, receiving early activity related training courses, age and education level were the influencing factors of behavioral score(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)The "PICU Nurses’ Knowledge and Practice Questionnaire on early Activities for severely ill children" compiled in this study has good reliability and validity, and can be used as an effective investigation tool to evaluate the knowledge, attitude and behavior of PICU nurses on early activities for severely ill children.(2)PICU nurses had a positive attitude towards early activities of severely ill children, and their knowledge and behavior were at a lower than medium level; The knowledge level of PICU nurses is affected by their education level, whether their department has carried out early activities, the years of engaging in PICU,and the region where the province is located. The attitude level is affected by whether the department has carried out early activities, the years of engaging in PICU,and the education level. The behavioral level is affected by whether the department has early activity program, the condition of receiving early activity related training courses, age and education level. |
