Purpose:Through the observation and comparison of the clinical efficacy of the acupuncture for depressing depression and regulating the mind combined with traditional Chinese medicine and simple traditional Chinese medicine decoction in the treatment of chronic tension-type headache(Fire Derived from Stagnation of Liver-QI Type),the effects of the two treatment methods on the degree of headache,TCM syndromes, depression and other aspects were observed and compared. To evaluate the difference in the efficacy of the two treatment methods before, after and during follow-up,and provide a reference for clinical treatment of chronic tension-type headache.Material and method:The subjects of this clinical study were all patients from December 2019 to August 2020 in the Department of Encephalopathy,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who were diagnosed with chronic tension-type headache in Western medicine and headache(Fire Derived from Stagnation of Liver-QI Type)diagnosed in traditional Chinese medicine.According to the random number method,64 subjects who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group, with a ratio of 1:1 for each group, with 32 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine decoction, and the treatment group was treated with acupuncture for depressing depression and regulating the mind combined with traditional Chinese medicine,a course of treatment for 5 days for 4 weeks.During the research process of the two groups,if the patients had unbearable headache symptoms, they could take loxoprofen sodium orally.Pain relief tablets, and record the frequency and dosage of medication. The visual analogue scale(VAS)was used to evaluate the intensity of headache, and the 17-item version of the Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)was used to evaluate the depression state of the patients.Evaluate and record the scores of various headache indicators, total headache score,TCM syndrome score,HAMD score, and analgesic exposure score before treatment, after treatment, and 4-week follow-up after treatment, and observe the improvement of clinical symptoms of patients.Whether adverse reactions occurred during the research process, and to explore the efficacy and differences in the treatment of chronic tension-type headache between the two groups. The obtained data were analyzed and compared using SPSS 25.0 statistical software.Results:1.Baseline data analysis: The general data of the two groups of patients were compared,P>0.05,the difference was not statistically significant, and it was comparable.2.Comparison between the two groups before and after treatment: the observation indexes of the two groups after treatment and follow-up(score of each headache index, total headache score,TCM syndrome score,HAMD score, analgesic exposure score)were compared with those before treatment. The indexes were all decreased, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).It was suggested that the two groups of treatments were effective in reducing headache intensity and exposure times of analgesics, reducing the duration and frequency of attacks, improving accompanying symptoms,TCM syndromes, and depression.3.Comparison between the two groups after treatment: The observation indicators(scores of various headache indicators, total headache score,TCM syndrome score,HAMD score, and analgesic exposure score)were compared between the two groups after treatment and during follow-up.Significant difference, with statistical significance(P<0.05).It was suggested that the treatment group was better than the control group in terms of reducing the intensity of headaches and exposure times of analgesics, reducing the duration and frequency of attacks, improving accompanying symptoms,TCM syndromes, and depression.4.The curative effect statistics showed that the total effective rate of headache integral curative effect and TCM syndrome curative effect in the treatment group was higher than that in the control group, and there was a significant difference(P<0.05).It indicated that the overall curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.5.In the study,2 cases dropped out,no adverse reactions,no adverse events.Conclusion:1.Traditional Chinese medicine decoction therapy can reduce headache intensity, duration, and attack frequency in patients with chronic tension-type headache, and effectively relieve accompanying symptoms and depression.2.Depression-relieving acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine treatment can better improve the headache intensity and accompanying symptoms in patients with chronic tension-type headache, reduce the time and frequency of attacks, significantly reduce the frequency and dosage of analgesics, and more effectively relieve patients’ depression.3.Depression-relieving and mind-regulating acupuncture combined with traditional Chinese medicine treatment can better improve the traditional Chinese medicine symptoms and signs of patients with chronic tension-type headache(Fire Derived from Stagnation of Liver-QI Type),and the curative effect is stable in short-term follow-up. |
