| Objectives:1.Investigate the TCM nursing team structure,TCM nursing ability and TCM nursing training needs of a county-level medical and health institution in Chongqing,understand the TCM nursing level in a county,and provide a basis for further promoting the development of TCM nursing.2.Apply SWOT analysis method to analyze the current situation of TCM nursing in a county in Chongqing,and discuss how to promote the development of TCM nursing in this county,in order to provide strategies for the sustainable development of TCM nursing in this county,and also for the further development of TCM in other similar areas for reference.Methods:1.This study is a cross-sectional survey study.A stratified convenience sampling method was used to select 506 clinical nurses engaged in TCM nursing who met the inclusion criteria in a county-level medical and health institution in Chongqing from August to December 2020 as the research objects.Investigators used general information questionnaires(self-designed),and survey tools such as TCM nursing ability and training needs prepared by Wang Dan,and the training needs of TCM nurses compiled by Ye Meixia,etc.to conduct electronic questionnaire surveys,and collected,screened,and sorted out the collected questionnaires.Measurement data were described by means ± standard deviation((?)),and count data were described by frequency or composition ratio.The influencing factors of TCM nursing ability were analyzed by univariate analysis,the variables with statistical significance(P<0.05)in the univariate analysis were analyzed by Multiple Linear Regression Analysis,and SPSS26.0 was used for statistical analysis.2.Apply SWOT analysis method,based on the previous questionnaire results,consult relevant literature and policy materials,establish a SWOT matrix list based on internal strengths,internal weaknesses,external opportunities and external challenges,and propose S-O,S-T,W-O,W-T countermeasures.Results:1.The current situation of TCM nursing in a county-level medical and health institution in Chongqing(1)General demographic characteristics: a total of 506 nurses were surveyed this time,mainly female(97.83%),20-30 years old(46.44%),and working years 6-10years(28.85%)with primary titles(64.23%))are mainly nurses.60.67% of nurses have a bachelor’s degree,96.25% of nurses graduated from non-TCM colleges,and72.53% of nurses are recruited.(2)Development of TCM nursing techniques: 55.14% of the nurses can carry out5 or more TCM nursing techniques;the top 3 nurses in TCM nursing techniques are:acupoint sticking(70.55%),moxibustion(70.36%),auricular point sticking(58.10%).(3)Current status of TCM nursing ability: The total average score of TCM nursing ability is 2.99±0.79 points,of which the score of basic theoretical knowledge of TCM is 2.78±0.79 points,the score of commonly used TCM nursing techniques is3.18±0.88 points,and the score of advanced TCM nursing clinical practice was2.89±0.81 points.(4)Demand for TCM nursing training: 64.43% of nurses are willing to participate in TCM nursing training,43.68% of nurses believe that hospital leaders attach great importance to TCM nursing training,and 37.15% of nurses believe that the current number of TCM nursing training is not enough;Nurses choose case analysis for theoretical training,and 91.11% of nurses choose live demonstration for operation training;in terms of training content,75.89% of nurses choose basic theory of TCM,and 75.49% of nurses choose TCM nursing technology.(5)Influencing factors of TCM nursing ability: The results of univariate analysis showed that educational background,the number of TCM nursing skills,the degree of willingness to train,the degree of emphasis on training,and the demand for training quantity had statistical significance on the score of TCM nursing ability(P<0.05).The trend is that the higher the educational level,the number of TCM nursing skills,the higher the willingness to train,the higher the emphasis on training,the greater the demand for training,the higher the TCM nursing ability score;gender,age,length of service,professional title,employment method,graduation There was no statistically significant difference in the type of institution(P>0.05);with the TCM nursing ability self-assessment score as the dependent variable,the variables with statistical significance in univariate analysis were used as independent variables for Multiple Linear Regression Analysis,The number of TCM nursing skills carried out by nurses,the degree of training willingness,the degree of emphasis on training,and the number of training have statistical significance on TCM nursing ability(P<0.05),which explained 51.63% of the total variance.2.SWOT analysis results(1)Strengths(S): The nursing team is younger and more motivated to learn.Mainly 20-30 years old(46.44%),60.67% of nurses have a bachelor’s degree;55.14%of nurses can carry out more than 5 TCM nursing techniques,and the self-assessment score of TCM nursing technology is 3.18±0.88 points;90.32% of nurses are willing to Training in TCM nursing,66.21% of the hospital leaders where nurses work attaches great importance to TCM nursing training.(2)Weeknesses(W): The nurses have low professional titles and insufficient clinical experience.Primary titles account for 64.23%,and 56.91% of nurses have worked for less than 10 years;the nurse team is dominated by non-staff(72.53%),with poor stability and a weak sense of belonging;self-assessment of basic theoretical knowledge of TCM 2.78±0.79 points at the lower middle level.(3)Opportunities(O): The state and government attach importance to and support the development of TCM;the market prospect of TCM is good;the rapid development of information technology provides a platform for the informatization of TCM(4)Threats(T): The geographical features of high mountains and cold are not conducive to the introduction of talents;there are currently no TCM colleges and universities in Chongqing,which is not conducive to personnel training;the resources of TCM nursing are still insufficient and unevenly distributed.Conclusions:1.The structure of the TCM nursing team in a county-level medical and health institution is unreasonable,the TCM nursing ability is at a low-medium level,and the demand for TCM nursing training is high.The TCM nursing ability is affected by factors such as academic qualifications,the number of TCM nursing techniques carried out,the willingness to train,the degree of emphasis on training,and the number of trainings.2.Based on SWOT analysis,the strengths,weeknesses,opportunities and threats faced by the development of TCM nursing in the county were analyzed from multiple perspectives,and corresponding strategies(S-O strategy,S-T strategy,W-O strategy,W-T strategy)were proposed.To strengthen the national policy orientation,improve the talent development environment,improve the policy incentive mechanism,build a TCM nursing on-the-job training system,etc.,improve the existing TCM nursing training quality,actively explore a more suitable TCM nursing development model for a
