| The traditional village of Yunnan Bai is an essential part of the traditional Chinese village,which has unique regional features and cultural connotations.However,with the development of urbanization and tourism,many of the traditional villages in the Dali region are at risk of decay and extinction.The protection and inheritance of traditional villages require the study of their spatial genes to reveal the formation and development rules of traditional villages and to put forth corresponding strategies for their maintenance and protection.Spatial genes currently need more attention in traditional villages of Yunnan Bai nationality.The results of this research will provide new insights and impetus for the protection and development of traditional villages in Yunnan and improve the system of theoretical research for the protection and development of the traditional villages of Yunnan Bai citizenship.At the same time,it can also provide a reference for the protection and development of traditional villages of other nationalities.This paper selects six traditional Chinese villages in Dali,Yunnan Province,composed of the Bai nationality as the leading ethnic group.First,we build the traditional Yunnan bai villages’ spatial status quo system through the field survey and literature review.Moreover,we calculate the spatial status diversity index of the villages in the sample.Furthermore,we compared and analyzed The spatial status diversity between the villages to reveal the spatial status diversity of the traditional Yunnan bai villages.This paper simultaneously conducts an in-depth study of the current state of architectural space decoration in Sideng village.It reveals the genetic connotation of the decoration of architectural spaces by analyzing the diversity of auspicious elements and the characteristics of the auspicious culture.Later,based on the research method of the decorative aesthetics of the Sideng village,to build the spatial genetic system of traditional Yunnan bai villages,we identified and extracted the spatial genes of the villages and calculated the spatial genetic diversity index of the villages.Moreover,we obtained the spatial genetic diversity of the traditional Yunnan bai villages through comparative analyses.Finally,we built each village’s spatial gene co-occurrence network model and computed the network features.Simultaneously,through the construction of the influencing factor system,the calculation of the correlation index between the spatial genetic diversity index and the influencing factor obtains the primary driver of the level of spatial genetic diversity,reveals the mechanism of spatial genetic maintenance,and advances the maintenance strategy.We find that:(1)the traditional village space status system of Yunnan Bai consists of 5 spatial levels,ten spatial types,and 36 spatial characteristics.Yunnan Bai traditional villages have similar features.Population size,geographical conditions,tourism development,and government planning and protection will affect the spatial diversity level of Yunnan Bai traditional villages.The gene of decorative aesthetics of the Sideng village also embodies the multi-cultural coexistence of traditional village architecture,where Buddhist culture is predominant.However,local white residents still maintain and propagate local culture.The cultural trust of Bai residents is reflected in the main temple and reveals their acceptance of multiculturalism while maintaining their indigenous culture.The results of this study provide a theoretical foundation and research paradigm for the study of spatial gene connotation in villages.(2)In the traditional Bai villages of Yunnan,the spatial gene system consists of 5 spatial levels,ten spatial types,and 38 spatial genes.Although there are some differences in the spatial abundance of genes in different villages,the level of diversity is fundamentally the same.Reflecting the similarity of traditional village planning and village building in the Dali area,caused by similarity in ethnic composition,village culture,and geographic environment,also provides evidence for the applicability of the traditional village spatial gene system in Yunnan province.(3)The traditional village spatial gene system of Yunnan Bai comprises dominant and other genes.Dominant genes include folklore genes,genes related to geomorphology,aggregation genes,geographic genes,historical genes,decorative aesthetics genes,and spatial aesthetics genes.The village area,altitude,collective annual income,number of significant industries,number of religious types,number of years of government protection,and number of honorary titles received at various levels are some of the significant factors that affect the level of spatial genetic diversity in the villages.The interplay of various factors epitomizes the mechanism of spatial gene maintenance in villages.To maintain the level of spatial gene diversity of the villages,we should protect the four communities facing the villages based on the natural environment,social economy,history and culture,and policies. |
