The accelerated pace of work and increasingly fierce competition in modern society have greatly reduced the happiness of professional groups,leading to the prominent problem of life satisfaction.Flight attendants are a special occupation group dominated by women,and they are also one of the groups with a high incidence of resignation.The main reason is that as a service industry directly oriented to air passengers,the working environment and work schedule they face are completely different from those of other industries.which leads to high work intensity and increased work pressure.Therefore,the life satisfaction of female flight attendants cannot be ignored.Under the background of a strong sports country,the development of mass sports has penetrated urban and rural areas,communities,and enterprises.Enterprises should vigorously promote employee sports policies to further improve employees’ understanding and participation in physical exercise to relieve their pressure and improve their life satisfaction.Although some studies have explored the impact of factors such as physical activity and sports participation on life satisfaction,relatively little attention has been paid to its promoting factors.This article starts from the perspective of employee sports,combining the high-pressure working environment faced by female flight attendants and Key factors such as high standards of self-image requirements have constructed an integrated theoretical model of female flight attendants’ sports participation,work pressure,body image,and life satisfaction.To provide a theoretical basis for the long-term promotion of corporate employees’ sports participation and improvement of female flight attendants’ life satisfaction.This article takes 252 female flight attendants of China’s three major state-owned backbone airlines(hereinafter referred to as the three major domestic airlines)as the investigation object,combined with the theory of work stress and life satisfaction,and using the "Sports Participation Scale for Employees" of female flight attendants,"Work Stress Scale","Body Image Scale" and "Life Satisfaction Scale" are used as measurement tools,and statistical tools such as SPSS25.0,AMOS26.0,PROCESS3.5are used to analyze the collected data.To explain the influence mechanism of the relationship between the independent variable "employee sports participation" and the dependent variable "life satisfaction",this study introduced the intermediary variable "job pressure" to explore the impact mechanism of employee sports participation on life satisfaction.The special significance of body image for female flight attendants,and to further test the boundary conditions of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable,the adjustment variable "body image" was introduced to analyze the employee sports participation among female flight attendants under different body images.Different effects on life satisfaction.Research results:(1)The current mean sports participation score of female flight attendant workers in the three major domestic airlines was 3.90(total score of 5);the mean life satisfaction score was 3.69(total score of 5).There were significant differences in female flight attendants’ sports participation and life satisfaction in terms of age,number of years of work,number of weekly flights,number of weekly rest days and health status(p<0.01).(2)Employee sports participation had a positive effect on female aircrew l ife satisfaction,with a significant positive correlation between employee sports participation,work stress,body imagery and life satisfaction(0.459<r<0.627,p<0.01),and a significant positive correlation between control variables and life s atisfaction(r=0.367,p<0.01),and a significant positive correlation between emp loyee sports participation and life The regression coefficient B=0.910(Beta=0.569,p<0.001)between workers’ sports participation and life satisfaction.(3)Work stress played a negative mediating role in the relationship between employee sports participation and life satisfaction of female flight attendants,the total effect of employee sports participation on life satisfaction of female flight attendants was 0.910,the direct effect value of employee sports participation on life satisfaction of female flight attendants was 0.673,accounting for 73.96% of the total effect;work stress played a negative mediating role in the relationship between employee sports participation and life satisfaction of female flight attendants.The indirect effect of work stress in the relationship between employee sports participation and female flight attendants’ life satisfaction was 0.238,accounting for 26.15% of the total effect.(4)Body imagery positively moderated the relationship between employee sports participation and female flight attendants’ life satisfaction,and moderated the direct effect of employee sports participation on female flight attendants’ lif e satisfaction,as follows: when female flight attendants had lower body imager y,the effect of employee sports participation on life satisfaction was weaker(β=0.412,p<0.001);when female flight attendants had higher body imagery,the effect of employee sports participation on life satisfaction was weaker(β=0.412,p<0.001).aircrews had higher body imagery,the effect of employee sports pa rticipation on life satisfaction was stronger(β=0.591,p<0.001).The study concluded that:(1)The formation of employee sports participation and life satisfaction among female flight attendants of the three major domestic airlines is a moderate to high level.(2)Employee sports participation positively affects female flight attendants’ life satisfaction.In this paper,employee sports participation is mainly measured in terms of positive effects brought about by behavior,willingness,and need.Therefore,female flight attendants’ attention to employee sports,active participation and physical and mental benefits can further contribute to life satisfaction.(3)Job stress partially mediates the relationship between employee sports participation and life satisfaction among female flight attendants.This means that employee sports participation not only directly and positively affects female flight attendants’ life satisfaction,but also partly through work stress.In other words,the effect of employee sports participation on female flight attendants’ life satisfaction is divided into two impact paths,direct and indirect,which explains to some extent the mechanism of the positive effect of employee sports participation on female flight attendants’ life satisfaction.This indicates that participation in employee sports enhances job satisfaction,thus reducing work stress and increasing life satisfaction.(4)There is a moderating effect of body imagery on the direct path.The strength of the effect of employee sports participation on life satisfaction differs for female flight attendants depending on the level of body imagery.When female flight attendants had low body imagery,the effect of employee sports participation on life satisfaction was weaker;when female flight attendants had high body imagery,the effect of employee sports participation on life satisfaction was enhanced.Body imagery had a moderating role in the direct effect of employee sports participation-life satisfaction,and body imagery positively moderated the positive relationship between employee sports participation and female flight attendants and strengthened the direct effect of the model.Therefore,female flight attendants should have positive body imagery to continuously make improvements in their sports behaviors and enhance their life satisfaction.
