| With the rapid development of the Internet,computer technology is widely used in various fields.Because of the late start of computer development in China,there is an urgent need to learn the advanced experience from abroad.The material is taken from the book Smart Innovation,Systems and Technologies from Springer,which systematically describes software crisisology,including numerous case studies,and details the advantages of agile development technologies in business management.The translator has selected the second chapter of the book for the translation practice.The translation material selected for this practice belongs to scientific and technical text with rich terminologies and strict sentence structure.Verschueren’s Adaption Theory considers translation as a dynamic adaption process at different levels such as context and language structure,which is of great significance to the translation of scientific and technical texts.Guided by the Adaption Theory,the translator accomplished the translation task by using translation skills such as Division,Repetition and Amplification,focusing on the information exchange purpose of scientific and technical texts,and completed the translation practice of about 15,000 words,and wrote this practice report.Through this translation practice,the translator has deepened her understanding of the Adaption Theory,improved her knowledge of the characteristics of computer industry,enhanced her ability to accurately convey scientific and technical information in translation,and further understood the significance of the Adaption Theory in the translation of computer science and technology texts.The translator hopes that the translation skills used in this translation practice can be further applied to the translation of similar scientific and technical texts,and also hopes that the translated material can provide some reference for learners in computer field. |
