At present, the global food security is an urgent problem, exacerbated by conflicts,COVID and climate change. These factors have sharply reduced global food production, disrupted the stability of global food supply chain and put millions of people in the world at risk of hunger. This report takes the webinar held by the Bendheim Center for finance of Princeton University on June 8,2022 as the interpretation material. The webinar discussed the impact of climate change, conflicts and Covid on global food security,as well as the measures taken by various national governments to solve the current food crisis. This report mainly includes pre-translation preparation, translation process, case analysis, and post-translation summary. This report is guided by Professor Li Changshuan’s CEA(Comprehension,Expression and Adaptation)framework in the whole process of interpreting. On the vocabulary level, the interpreter uses paraphrase and speech conversion to achieve the accurate delivery of information;on the syntactic level, the interpreter uses the skills like split, merge, amplification, omission and repetition to achieve functional equivalence of language meaning. This report also aims to provide references for the interpretation of food security related practice in the future.
