This paper takes Chinese Volunteer Teacher as the research object and uses Questionnaire Methodology and Interview Survey Methodology as the main research methods.By organizing, summarizing and analyzing the data, the paper is to point out the adequacy and shortcomings of the volunteers themselves, the relevant organizations and the relevant systems in the process of re-employment,so as to improve the re-employment situation of volunteers and promote the sustainable development of the Chinese Volunteer Teacher Programme. This paper is divided into five sections in addition to the introduction and the conclusion. The first section introduces and analyzes the social environment of employment for Chinese Volunteer Teachers, investigates information on volunteer attributes such as age, gender, and place of departure, information on educational background, practical experience, and the employment guidance and services received, and discovers the mismatch between the social background faced by volunteers, the employment support received, and re-employment.The second section of the study examines the re-employment situation of volunteers who have gone on to further studies, employed volunteers, and non-employed volunteers respectively, focusing on three aspects: employment behaviour, employment cognition, and employment psychology. The third section describes the re-employment environment of international Chinese education volunteers, suggesting that the cognitive bias of the employment department where they work and the lack of service management of the employment departments of the universities they belong to lead to the pressure of the re-employment environment. The fourth section, based on the data collated and analyzed in the previous section, summarizes and organizes the factors influencing the re-employment of Chinese Volunteer Teachers and proposes the influence of individual volunteers, the employment market, and the institutional system on the employment of volunteers returning to their home countries. The fifth section makes recommendations for improving the re-employment situation of volunteers in aspects of volunteers themselves,employment-related departments and talent management and returned volunteer protection systems.
