" Food is the first necessity of the people ",the Chinese food culture is not only the outstanding cultural heritage of the Chinese nation,but also an extremely important part of the people’s daily life.With the increasingly close economic and cultural exchanges between countries around the world,the "Chinese fever" has gradually emerged.Foreign students in growing numbers have developed a strong interest in Chinese culture.Chinese food culture has become an opportunity and window for foreigners to understand China and learn Chinese.Applying an efficient performance culture teaching method to the teaching of Chinese food culture can not only improve the intercultural communication skills of learners,but also help them understand the ideological concepts and profound connotations of Chinese culture.This article starting from the traditional Chinese festival food customs,and explores the Chinese food culture teaching design based on the Pedagogy of Performing Another Culture.This article is divided into six parts:The first chapter puts forward the research purpose and significance of this article,and combs the domestic and foreign research situation of the teaching method of performing another culture and Chinese food culture.The second chapter explains in depth the teaching method of performing another culture,starting from its development origin,further clarifies the teaching principles and teaching methods,and discusses the teaching method of performing another culture and the communicative approach,the task-based approach and the situational approach.Compare the traditional teaching approach to highlight their characteristics and advantages.Chapter 3 focuses on Chinese food culture,briefly clarifies its basic characteristics and philosophical connotations,and starts from the food customs of the three traditional festivals of Spring Festival,Dragon Boat Festival,and Mid-Autumn Festival,and applies the performance culture teaching method to the teaching of Chinese food culture.The fourth chapter is the specific teaching design part.In the syllabus,the teaching objects,teaching objectives,class schedule and other content are clarified,and specific teaching steps are designed.The teaching process is divided into two parts as a whole,one is the theoretical explanation class,and the other is the performance practice class,which provides a certain reference and reference for applying the performance culture teaching method to the teaching of traditional Chinese festival food and customs.The fifth chapter is the teaching reflection part.The author analyzes the advantages and limitations of using the pedagogy of performing another culture based on the problems I encountered in actual teaching and the feedback from students.Cultural teaching puts forward suggestions for reference.The sixth Chapter is the concluding part.This chapter summarizes the research results.The teaching design of this paper can help students learn Chinese traditional festival food culture knowledge and fill in the blank of relevant theories and practices in some extent.When completing the relevant teaching design,we should absorb the advantages of pedagogy of performing another culture,pay attention to the subjective role of students and teaching of behavior culture in the actual teaching,so as to improve students’ communicative ability in the target language environment.
